According to this article (which is of course not an official source, but still) only the first four teams of the new Field Hockey Pro League will get a place at the Olympic qualifying tournament: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/hockey/top-stories/hockey-india-justifies-withdrawal-from-fih-pro-league/articleshow/59513347.cms Now look at the participating teams: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Men's_FIH_Hockey_Pro_League and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Women's_FIH_Hockey_Pro_League I hope, that if one of the top four teams wins the Continental Championships, the fifth, sixth etc. team may qualify for the qualification tournament. But still, wouldn't that mean that some of these excellent tams will be pretty much out?

In German Team, they decided years ago, that the best athlete/double in single competition will compete in the team. They stayed with this decision during every single competition, they have to do so now, too.
