  1. Stoch crashed in the Trial Round. And basically the whole Austrian Team has a virus.
  2. I still hate this system, though. Yes, it's the jumper's right to use the rules to their advantage. And Stoch is far from the first ski jumper not to start in a qualification. It was Sven Hannawald, who started it all. But I wish the FIS would change the rules, that the Top 10 have to start in the qualification at the 4 hills tournament as well.
  3. Marco Mathis is the German Champion in the Individual Pursuit in Track Cyling, beating Roger Kluge in the final. It isn't that surprising that he's a good time trialist, guys like Bradley Wiggins came from the track pursuit as well, after all. The extremely flat course in Doha was also an adventage for Mathis.
  4. flagbearer will be one of these five: - Timo Boll (Table Tennis) - Moritz Fürste (Field Hockey) - Ingrid Klimke (Equestrian) - Lena Schöneborn (Modern Pentathlon) - Kristina Vogel (Cycling) Here's the election: http://rio.sportschau.de/rio2016/nachrichten/Wer-soll-in-Rio-Deutschlands-Fahne-tragen-Olympia-DOSB-Fahnentraeger,fahnentraeger136.html
  5. Eberstadt Men Drouin 2,38m Barshim 2,34m Onnen 2,32m Women Jungfleisch 2,00m Licwinko 1,96m
  6. I gave Holzdeppe much less points than I would have otherwise because of his injury. I agree that Holzdeppe in shape has a much higher chance to win a medal, but sadly he hasn't been fit this season.
  7. To use heywoodu's system (roughly): Krause: chance 25% Roleder: 25% 4x100m Men: 5% 4x100m Women: 15% Linke: 5% Jungfleisch: 10% Holzdeppe: 10% (hoping, that he finds his shape) Ryzih/Strutz: 5% Moguenara: 20% Heß: 25% Schwanitz: 90% Storl: 65% R. Harting: 70% C. Harting: 20% Müller: 20% Fischer: 25% Craft: 10% Heidler: 55% Stahl: 30% Obergföll: 15% Hussong: 15% Röhler: 65% Vetter: 15% Weber: 10% Schäfer: 20% Kazmirek: 5% Abele: 35% Someone else: 5% makes 715 points = 7 medals

  9. Results: http://trialsresults.usatf.org/
  10. Men's Decathlon Arthur Abele 8606 points in Ratingen,
  11. If it continues like this, Quota Place will go to Chile.
  12. I wouldn't trust this. There are many players they mentioned as not qualified due to Davis Cup who will qualify nonetheless. For example Germany's Zverev, who only didn't play enough Davis Cup, because he wasn't nominated. Such players were allowed to participate in the London games and they will be allowed to play in Rio as well.
  13. There is one, or at least there was one. That's why the "No kangaroos in Austria" slogans exists: https://www.google.de/search?q=no+kangaroos+in+austria&biw=1440&bih=791&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjmspK41N7MAhWKJJoKHWbGDzoQ_AUIBigB
  14. That was really a terrible competition for South Korea. Not a single results with 14 points or more and outside of Vault only two marks better than 13 points.
  15. Qualified. Very good performance on Uneven bars by the first four.
  16. Yes! So I hope you are sitting with a German jersey in front of your computer, shouting "Deutschland, Deutschland."
  17. Ok, we need exactly 53,1 points at UB fo finish ahead of Australia and therefore to qualify. This is an average of 13,26. Normally it shouldn't be a problem. I just hope they show a solid performance.
  18. Well hopefully. Uneven bars is always a bit tricky, of course. Three of our best gymnasts are currently injured, so if the team does a solid competition and qualifies, I'm satisfied. So far I am.
