  1. It's because some countries like Australia and New Zealand had summer in the past few months, so they already had most of their home matches.
  2. Luxembourg with a chance in Karate? At least they have a European Champion.
  3. I hope this isn't old News. ITTF has published the competition system for both their team and singles world qualifying tournaments. Singles: https://www.ittf.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/2020_WSQT_Sport_Specific.pdf Teams: https://www.ittf.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/2020_WTQT_Sport_Specific.pdf
  4. I know. But first it says if the same athlete wins a quota place during both the World Championships and the Continental Championships, the quota place will go to the next best athlete from the Continental Championships. And later it says if the same athlete wins a quota place during both the World Championships and the Continental Championships, the quota place will be reallocated via the World Ranking List,
  5. Doesn't the qualification document contradict itself? Namely this: And this:
  6. Well, at least two other european athletes won the quota place. Might be helpful in later stages. Still, so far it's an awful Olympic qualification period for the german shooters.
  7. Of Course: https://www.eurosport.de/eisschnelllauf/eisschnelllauf-ihle-und-beckert-nach-ard-bericht-frustriert_sto7201696/story.shtml
  8. Both Patrick Beckert and Nico Ihle went to german media and said that they weren't the athlete in question.
  9. Because two men and two women from South Korea qualified in Air Pistol.
  10. Quote places in Women's Skeet for and
  11. I know there's still a lot of time to qualify, but the german results begin to really frustrate me.
  12. Isn't blood doping more helpful in endurance competitions? I don't know how it is with 500 metres and 1000 metres in Speed Skating, but normally I'm not associating blood doping with sprint.
  13. Also several cyclists (no specific nation mentioned) who competed at big cycling tours.
  14. Am I dreaming? That's fantastic. Sadly it doesn't Count for the Olympic ranking yet, but at least it should give them enough WRL Points to have a better seeding in the upcoming months.
  15. Yes: https://www.iaaf.org/news/press-release/council-march-2019-olympic-qualification It's january 1st for the very Long distances and the multi events and May 1st for all the other events.
  16. How? Doesn't qualification period for Shot Put start in May?
  17. Frankly, I'm not so secretly hoping that Buchmann skips the Tour de France 2020 to focus on the Olympics. I don't think he as a realistic chance for more than Top Ten if everyone is on the height of their power. But maybe he has if his rivals lose some power in the mountains during the Tour. But I suppose his pro-tour-team has a say in this as well.
  18. The Road Race at the 2020 Olympics will only be one week after the end of the Tour de France (unless schedule for TdF changes). After a very hard TdF there will be a very hard Olympic Competition in the mountains, and inbetween they'll have to travel for several hours by plane into another time zone. So we'll see what Roglic or anyone else from the favourites will do. I wouldn't be surprised if some stars skip the Olympics (or alternatively the TdF).
  19. Pigorsch missed the final by one place. That sucks. Hales made it.
  20. Scanlan qualified for the final. Therefore four women will fight for the two quota places.
  21. Asian Olympic Qualifier seems to be from April 6th to April 12th 2020: https://www.ittf.com/2020-event-calendar/
  22. Goodbye, Felix. He was and may ever be my favourite sportsperson. But he's probably right that it's his time to go.
