  2. The Colombian guy Sebastian Uprimny, anyone have more info about him ? because his name is clearly Slovak origins, Uprimny means in SVK honest, sincere...
  3. Don´t know, but I think yes. I mean, allies or not, this is a Olympic tournament after all and knowing Belarus is also one of those Hockey loving countries, I guess they will certainly use the opportunity even if it´s on the detriment of the biggest allies. But let see what will happen around Russia first, I still think they will not be entirely banned and their hockey team will play in PyeongChang even under IOC flag
  4. If Russia banned, then KHL will very likely as response not allowing their players to compete, so then the things will not really help Belarus, since their team is almost every year the same and entirely KHL based ! I really don´t know who they field in this case, maybe the full team of Yunost Minsk
  5. First Olympic participants IIHF names refs, linesmen for PyeongChang 2018 The IIHF Council has confirmed the referees and linesmen who will officiate at the men’s and women’s ice hockey tournaments of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. In total 47 on-ice officials from 13 different countries got the call for the 2018 Olympics. The 12-team men’s tournament will be handled by 14 referees and 14 linesmen. The eight-team women’s tournament will be officiated by 10 referees and nine linesmen. In numbers the list is led by the United States with seven on-ice officials followed by Finland and Sweden with six each. Canada, the Czech Republic and Switzerland will send five each to the Olympics. Several of the on-ice officials have experience from Sochi 2014. Among the referees Antonin Jerabek and Konstantin Olenin have been part of the crew on Sochi 2014 while Nicole Hertrich and Aina Hove even bring in the experience of two Olympics and eight Women’s World Championships as they were also in Vancouver 2010. Also on the ice in Vancouver 2010 was Nikoleta Celarova, however, not as a referee but as a player for the Slovak women’s team. For most of the referees and linesmen it will be the first Olympic Winter Games after several men’s and women’s World Championships under the belt. In total the officials combine for 134 World Championship participations. But everybody who performs well had the chance to make it as the example of French linesman Charlotte Girard shows, who hasn’t officiated at the Olympic or senior top-level Women’s World Championship before. 2018 Olympic women's ice hockey tournament Referees Linesmen Ariano-Lortie, Gabrielle Todd, Justine Hertrich, Nicole Svobodova, Zuzana Hove, Aina Heikkinen, Jenni Fialova, Drahomira Tauriainen, Johanna Celarova, Nikoleta Girard, Charlotte Gran, Gabriella Linnek, Lisa Timglas, Katarina Pagon, Natasa Allen, Dina Johansson, Veronica Guay, Katie Leclerc, Jessica Szkola, Melissa

  8. 5th place exactly 1cm from the first ever world cup podium and probably a win...this is just so frustrating. Paulína equaled during today´s freezing glacial evening her careers best finishing 5th. Surprisingly in her the less favorite event the Individual. However, The girl has a fantastic start of season after a great (skiing) performance in the mixed relay, today she added to once again a brilliant skiing (10th fastest skiing of the day !) also a superb shooting performance, What a shame this 16th target...I don´t even want to imagine what would be happen without this minute penalisation..but well, what can we do. she finished 5th 32 seconds behind gold and 20 seconds behind podium. Anyway another great result ! Congrats Paja, keep it and one day, I believe, you´ll be on this podium ! Strange day it was also for her sister Ivona, who started the race extremely well, very fast first half of the race, ranked sixth after the first shooting. Very interesting is especially her shooting times (10th shooting time in a individual !) also very good skiing (17th skiing time overall) looks our sisters worked pretty well during summer. Pitty for her last shooting, she attacked today her best careers result as well, but 3 faults in the last standing send her down to 49th... Terézia Poliaková just like past season still too slow and even if she doesn´t shoot well in such conditions as were today there no chance for her to aspire for a success. We really need to find someone for the women´s relay, pitty Gereková retired.. At least she fulfilled the criteria for the second trimester today. Nastya Kuzmina already announced earlier that she will not compete in the individuals, in order to save more energy and forces for the sprint and pursuit for the upcoming weekend
  9. Thomas Diethart suffered a very bad crash during today´s training in Ramsau http://www.fis-ski.com/ski-jumping/news-multimedia/news/article=thomas-diethart-suffered-bad-crash.html
  10. because she will be 4th because this one mistake

  16. This remember me of our football prospect Stanislav Lobotka and his legendary quote "This my sen" sen is in Slovak language and it mean dream since then it started to be a commonly used quote in SVK about celebrating something like here -- This is my Sen !
  17. yay, great video, thanks for sharing ahaha this Slovenglish from Kazár, Epic
  18. So, finally some few free time to return to todays pleasant shock. 4th place of our mixed relay is not the best ever result since a team Gereková/Kuzmina/Kazár/Matiaško finished 3rd in Kontiolahti WC mixed relay 2012. But the gap +7.7 behind the wining Norway is historically the smallest margin of any Slovak relay in all history. we never finished under 10 seconds of the winning relay. Paulína Fialková once again impressive improvement of her skiing, having absolute fastest time of her leg 6 seconds faster than Tandervold and Laukkanen. She passed in the last lap 9 biathletes, in his leg she overpassed her opponents 21 times to finish 4th 3 and half second behind the leader. from 19th place after first shooting. Pitty she looks still struggling with her shooting like in the past.. Anastasiya Kuzmina had finally a complete preparation during summer and is ready to compete the whole season with the main goal in the PyeongChang sprint when she will try to retain the 2 times consecutive title. Her shooting looks much better than in the last years, she apparently worked a lot with this issue this summer. worrying is a bit her skiing time, today only 7th in her leg 41 second behind the fastest Makarainen, but must say that in her leg there were the fastest girls running with Kaisa, Wierer, Eckhoff, Domracheva so..let see in the next races, we hope she will slowly improve her shape especially around February... What to say about mens they were just fantastic today, presenting probably their lifes performance today, trying to keep the incredible position they inherited from the girls and they did it bravely. I´m really satisfied. Well done folks ! shame we lost the podium for 1.2 second, but never mind. This was one great and absolutely magic evening for me and such memorable biathlon performance. Bravo and well done, Matej, Tomáš, Nastya and Paja
  19. Podium after disastrous and unlucky 1st run. wow, Bravo Peťa ! Keep it babe
