  1. Quick comeback to today´s race marked by the First podium for Slovak biathlon since March 2014. Very well done Anastasiya Kuzmina, This girl definitely know how to prepare herself for the Olympic season. Great race, to finish with 1 loop 22 seconds behind Domracheva with perfect shooting is really encouraging. 6th fastest time today and high quality shooting in disastrous weather conditions. Really great performance. Congrats Nastya. Very well done ! Pitty for the bad shooting of our Fialková sisters, they were both relatively decently fast today on their skis but had quite a lot of hard luck arriving to the shooting range with the conditions resulting in 3 misses for Paulína 2 in the first shooting and 4 for Ivona, at least both managed to secure the qualification for tomorrow´s pursuit from 50th and last 60th place. Terézia Poliaková once again disaster. 7 faults and terrible skiing resulting in the last position This is really looking worrying, hopefully she will find some magic and do much much better in the relays.
  2. Shiffrin leads after slalom run of St. Moritz alpine combined Early morning wind and dense fog (known locally as the "Maloja Schlange") hung over the super-G track at St. Moritz on Friday, forcing the jury and organizers to swap the customary program for the ladies' alpine combined. The slalom run was scheduled for 10:00 and the super-G for 13:00 with the hopes of the weather clearing in time for the afternoon speed run. Despite a bobble in the slalom, American Mikaela Shiffrin powered through the fog at the start and turned on the jets toward the finish line to lead Swiss Wendy Holdener, the reigning World Champion in alpine combined, by 0.39 seconds after the first run. Holdener's teammate and World Championship silver medalist Michelle Gisin skied the third fastest slalom run at 1.21 seconds off the lead pace. An exciting run of super-G wasn't mean to be on Friday. The dense fog lowered to the bottom of the slope but remained put despite a rescheduled start time of 14:00. The jury together with the organizers made the decision to cancel the super-G run just after 13:00 when the fog was still thick during course inspection for the athletes. The regularly scheduled super-G for Saturday will take place at 10:45 CET. Upon completion of Saturday's super-G race, the results will be used to calculate the alpine combined from Friday.
  3. They will use tomorrows scheduled Super-G for the Alpine Combined too
  4. I was thinking about Aymonier and Tandrevold + that Olympic Athlete of Russia Mironova but now it looks safe for our first WC podium since a very very long time, I think it was Kuzmina and her triumph in Oslo 3 years back
  5. what are the odds she will finish 4th ? place your bets guys
  6. Paulína why ? why we just can not have at least one small piece of luck
  7. Qualification on Friday canceled The difficult weather conditions in the Black Forest lead to the cancellation of the qualification at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt on Friday. The qualification round could start as planned at 12 pm CET, but after only eight of the 66 athletes, the jury decided to cancel the round for today. The reason for this decision was the gusty wind at the Hochfirst-hill, that was forecasted to further increase during the course of the day. The qualification shall now be held on Saturday at 2:30 pm CET instead of the trial round before the team competition (4 pm CET). Wellinger and Stoch with the best training jumps The best jumps in the official training, that could take place earlier today, were shown by Andreas Wellinger, with 133 m in the first round, and Kamil Stoch, with 142.5 m in the second round.
