Yeah, well, this is not about pessimism but rather about my personal gained experiences during last years in this case. too much disappointment, so this time I would rather not expect anything and maybe being pleasantly surprised at the end.

Looks like our federation will try to change history and achieve some miracles with qualifying a athlete in a combat sport We are going to enter athletes in a majority of qualifying tournaments, and Milan Randl somehow decided few weeks ago to change radically everything and restart his qualifying process from absolute zero. He decided to leave his category and compete the whole Tokyo 2020 cycle in the -90kg class, so he lost in last weeks more than 10 Kg eating only vegetables and meat, he stopped carbohydrates, potatoes and rice and almost dead after all this he already entered the last weeks GP in Zagreb.. but yeah, again qualifying anyone in combat sport is usually a unattainable challenge for us, so even with all those changes and innovations, I still expect the same amount of combat sports athletes as we had in Rio - a big nil

Final update. After the EA refusal for our request about the 4 wild cards (the Velďáková sisters, Jana in LJ and Dana in TJ, Nikola Lomnická in HT and Patrik Žeňúch in JT) and the definitive refusal for Stanislava Lajčáková in 100m H. Our final team will consist of 21 Athletes. At least EA Agreed and allowed to two our athletes to start also in one more event, so Šimon Bujna will compete also in 100m and Alexandra Bezeková in 200m. Avangard Omsk is in huge troubles prior to the new KHL season, the club Probably irrevocably lost it´s home venue. It was found some serious deficiencies in the construction of the Omsk Arena. Avangard has to look for a new home and has to report it to the KHL leaders by August 15th. Currently, there are two options for Avangard in Russia - moving to Moscow and performing in Mytishchi, and the second alternative is to find a temporary home in Krasnoyarsk.
