  1. Live timing was utterly useless again, they really should just use some already in-place system for it. In a relay it makes zero sense to only show and compare the splits per 'section': comparing doubles only with the other doubles times so far, etc.
  2. Like just not watching it at all? While I agree with your point, it's the Olympics...we've got a billion other things we can watch that we do find interesting.
  3. India really shouldn't need this kind of juggling around to qualify a good number of athletes
  4. The luge relay could potentially be pretty interesting. Latvia has the best man. Germany has the best woman. Russia has the best doubles team.
  5. Stadlober still wakes up sweating at night every now and then.
  6. [hide] #66 Will there be a nation to win its first medal in Freestyle Skiing in Halfpipe? [Yes] #68 What will be the time difference between men's Monobob and women's Skeleton winners? (step - 0,5s) [1,5s] #69 How many nations will get at least one medal in Snowboard Cross individual events? (step - 1) [4] #70 Who will have the fastest leg of the men's singles part of Luge Team Relay? [Gints Berzins, LAT] [/hide]
  7. According to Dutch commentator Hans Christer Holund 'got lost' during the 15k interval start, anybody heard more about this?
  8. But he had every chance to go to the PDC
  9. Thing is, BDO does have a role. That role is just not to try and be the top level of darts... It's way more in making it easy for people to play, since that's way too expensive in the PDC.

  11. No matter how many athletes are in, two runs is definitely the only fair way to go. And if you're so desperate not to have two runs all the time, like FIS seems to be, do the exact opposite of what they've got now: one run in the first round and then switch to two runs.
  12. I guess the Dutch commentator was wrong when saying they had 'luck of the draw' (athletes on the blue course)
  13. I have no idea, but let's go with A because that seems to have the biggest chance of making sure at least everyone's favourite gets point(s).
  14. And there it is after four days of PDC Q-School, the first woman ever with a PDC ProTour Card and it's the one that's been most expected in the past several years now: Lisa Ashton. Let's see how it'll go
  15. This PGS in Sestrieres was ridiculous How come the highest-ranked athletes aren't allowed to choose the course? Or are they and was every single one of them so dumb they picked the obviously slower red course?
  16. Yes, for a World Cup or an exhibition race. In an Olympic event, everyone should have the same chances from the start on, no handicaps or bonus times or whatever.
  17. I hate reasons like "It's too much to be fun" or "it's overkill" or something, because ugh, just don't participate in those you don't like. Reasons like the one you mention however, where it's about it just being too much work for the organizers, are totally different and of course perfectly valid and understandable
  18. Yes, that's my advantage. One official half marathon more than you So I now know really not to start too fast and when you think "Oh this is going well", you're starting too fast
  19. This reads as "Yes, we should have all four indeed!".
  20. 7th place, I told you not to give up on Kasai!! http://medias2.fis-ski.com/pdf/2020/JP/3246/2020JP3246RL.pdf
  21. Ah crap, missed that in my enthusiasm
  22. All of them This sounds like one of the best contest months ever Especially the speed skating, the one time the sport could have a contest.
  23. I feel like I'm slightly ahead of you in terms of distance, but you are definitely ahead in terms of pace. This is gonna be interesting
  24. That's more than we see of the Olympic final if there's no Dutch team involved They prefer talking about sports for hours on Olympic days instead of showing live sports, it's truly amazing how the main Dutch broadcaster always manages to fuck it up.
  25. Only if the Dutch team plays (in a 'major' championships...and preferably on a weekend...and if there's not much else to show, like was all the case today ).
