  1. Haha, there's Buitrago coming from...where?!
  2. It's a steep climb, 'helping' someone really is just a mental thing when it's going 16 per hour Nice attack though, nice counterattack by Healy and then another nice counter by VPP to stay in his wheel
  3. Ah, right. Still hard to believe how some of the leading figures in one of the most ridiculous teams in history are now perfectly allowed to lead another big team Oh well.
  4. Elis Ligtlee, the 2016 Olympic keirin champion, has announced they have found an aggressive form of breast cancer, with several spreads/metastases in 5 lymph nodes. Chemo and everything is on the way, hopefully to actually treat it and get rid of it instead of in a palliative way.
  5. What do you think I suggested?
  6. Mont Ventoux today. Let's hope the 55:51 minutes record by Iban Mayo survives today: one of the most talented climbers ever, in a time trial with the start at the base of the Ventoux and the EPO bursting out of his ears, that record really, really should not ever be broken I believe that was done in the same Tour where the team of UAE's current leaders were taken out because of a massive doping scandal, but I may be wrong (they were definitely involved in the infamous Saunier Duval team).
  7. I didn't know that discussion was a thing Hard to say. Marchand's versatility is amazing, of course, but then again, Pan's WR arguably made him the actual fastest swimmer ever, which might be more impressive than "the fastest ever person to swim a certain distance in a very specific and limited style". It's a dangerous discussion though, since saying one or the other is more impressive can easily be interpreted as saying the other performance is not impressive, so to be clear: both are extremely impressive
  8. Yeah, these kind of events are always super late with that, but at least the full schedule should be up weeks or even months ahead But it is there indeed.
  9. Does anyone know where the most comprehensive schedule can be found? Like with times and such. Edit: as per usual with these things, the official website is a mess, but this one seems to be quite nice and useful. https://www.theworldgames.org/editions/Chengdu-CHN-2025-14/timetable
  10. Oh just come on. Oh well, I guess those are the sports I'll see the least of anyway, but still
  11. Oh, it will be a 6 team tournament for real? Lol.
  12. That's a total of 6 teams if I'm counting correctly, where will the rest come from?
  13. It absolutely was. Took forever for broadcasts to be available on-demand as well... To every single one of these small-time organizers: just use YouTube, for fuck's sake. Works like a charm, easy to replay, and so on.
  14. Also, he had no radio, so not really a way to know the race situation
  15. Wellens attacking for a rather annoying win, given his entire lack of work in the group up to that point and UAE's overall aggressive anti-Visma riding.
  16. Not exactly though, even then there were already way too many events and distances, making it easy at the end of the championships to forget who actually won which 100m or 200m (or, not unlikely, won the double considering they're often just similar). Swimming has WAY too many distances and strokes to even have the chance for every event winner feeling like a superstar. Just go to one backstroke, one breaststroke, one butterfly stroke and so on. Or be bold and scrap them altogether, making swimming simply about who can swim X meters the fastest, period (instead of making it about who can swim X meters in unnatural stroke Y the fastest)
  17. Well, to be fair, playing nearly two hours with 10 players instead of 11 and still taking the win, one can hardly say it wasn't deserved then.
  18. It's so theoretically simple: do a normal run-up of a few steps and rocket the ball high into a corner (which you should spend at least 5-10 minutes practicing after every training, your whole career, muscle memory for the win), where no goalkeeper can reach it.
  19. Yeah, sure, do a 1500 meter obstacle run before you take your penalty.
  20. Did that in magnificent fashion though
  21. And it's a miss, of course
  22. Wow, this referee is actually giving a penalty to Germany after basically being in favour of France for every single 50/50 fight so far
  23. Big congratulations to Kathrin Hendrich for winning the Dumbest Player of the Tournament Award by an absolutely massive margin, very well done.
