  1. Meanwhile things aren't exactly going splendidly here Basically everything was recently reopened, in the case of things like night clubs and dance places one needs to have a negative test, something which a lot of young people have avoided with fake test results and forged QR codes and such The expected result of opening the night clubs and such too early is a little obvious in the numbers of the past few days: July 2nd: 941 July 3rd: 1125 July 4th: 1215 July 5th: 1519 July 6th: 2209 July 7th: 3646 July 8th: 5431
  2. But what was Vestergaard supposed to do here? He was standing there and Sterling came running up against him, was he supposed to simply move out of the way and let Sterling go for a free shot on goal? It's not like Vestergaard was actively doing much in that moment..
  3. Yeah alright, I might have been exaggerating a little
  4. This is going to be one of those rare matches where 0-0 might be the most interesting situation...these really are two teams who'll basically park the bus and kill the match as soon as they make a first goal.
  5. Was that the one where little Sterling basically jumped against the three times taller Danish guy (who of course didn't move because it was like a mosquito hit him) and then of course fell down and hoped for the referee to fall for it? Not sure if that was the same moment, but it looked sort of hilarious, like he was trying to break down a wall by jumping up against it but the wall refused to move
  7. [hide] Knockout Round Final Date & Time (GMT +2, CEST) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 11th 2021, h. 21:00 Italy 3 0 England [/hide]
  8. Kane going down again because a Danish guy looked at him...

  10. Kane hits a Danish foot and claims a penalty for doing so. No sir.
  11. Any idea what happened with Canada? They now have 0 eligible women and men https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/v2/quota/list/owg/cc/2022
  12. Booooooooooom Damsgaard!!! What a freaking cannon ball
  13. Here come the empty headed people and their threats to Morata and his family again....
  14. I do think weightlifting will get back, at some point (I might be naive, but sometimes that's less depressing ), so athletes who are barely 20 or didn't even get there yet might have some more hope than the ones who are already in their thirties now..
  15. Apparently the Dutch weightlifting federation got confirmation from the Dutch NOC that they will actually accept Kuworge's quota Dutch weightlifter at the Olympics (and a still very young one at that, so plenty of room for progress!), I didn't think I'd live to see the day
  16. And people seem to think that watching all night and half day means you don't sleep, but if you don't have obligations like work and such, you'll still be perfectly able to sleep the same amount of time as always
  17. Weightlifting, triple jump, shooting for the first three I assume, where is Moldova's chance? And taekwondo for the ROT?
  18. I'm likely going all-out to be able to follow Beijing 2022 as close as possible, but I think that's understandable if a certain someone qualifies Other than that, I don't think I can see myself not try and follow all or at least most of any Olympics, except when at some point children could be a factor and their school vacations are the only time in which to go on holiday or something.
  19. And also welcome @asiulka2002 And @Cinnamon Bun!
  20. Welcome @Patlidzan!
  21. Actually I find it perfect when Olympics are during the night. Basically nobody else is awake then, so I can give my undivided attention to the Olympics and only communicate with people related to the Olympics instead of the usual daily things (and have the groceries delivered, of course, although I already have 30 packs of noodles for nightly hunger )
  22. Together with Martina , Aït Saïd is my favourite choice so far
  23. You're only getting them now? I mean, as soon as we knew it's in Japan, I was going for sleeping from roughly 17:00 to 00:00 and that's still the plan, depending on the exact days. Meaning my sleeping doesn't change, only the time does Obviously this is only possible because I'm free from work. If that's not possible or you have a child or something, this simple solution becomes near-impossible
  24. Anywhere between 15 and 35 would not be surprising A ton of medal chances, but that includes a whole lot who are not necessarily the main favourite and could just as well finish 4th or 5th.
