  1. One more question In the prize list, I see tabs sorted by shooting grade and by overall grade. I'm assuming the 160 point limit is about the overall grade, and the shooting grade is just a part of what makes up the overall grade, sorted for those who want to choose good shooters?
  2. Forgot to tag @Wumo just to be sure, and I think it doesn't work in edits
  3. I'm a little confused about the wording here. Does this mean A) you take the top-10 men and top-10 women of last season, and out of this pool of 20 you can have a total of three athletes? Or B) can you have three athletes out of the men's top-10 and three out of the women's top-10? I'm reading it as option A, is that correct?
  4. Right, today was the kick-off for the fourth and final stage of the Brazilian rollerski circuit. The third one consisted of three races, this one is made up of two races: today's 5/10k freestyle with individual start and tomorrow's 7.5/15k classic pursuit. The women's win went, not entirely surprising, to @brunamoura, who is still three months away from the one moment where she has to be in top shape, yet already broke another PB, this time on the most frequently held race: 12:02 minutes, sub-12 is coming next year. Second place for Mika Picin, half a minute behind the win and ten seconds ahead of Duda Ribera. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36650 The men's win went to Lucão Lima, like he did in last week's classic sprint - he is showing some serious improvement and versatility. Too bad he won't go to the European snow season, unlike Olympian Victor Santos, who finished in third this time - half a minute behind. Second place went to @Jesús, who is very much on his way to Beijing 2022 and deservedly so. There are Chilean talents coming up, but they're still young and too far behind him for now. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36649
  5. I haven't gotten to today's race yet and the last one is tomorrow
  6. Also no Marco Schwarz, in his case due to COVID-19.
  7. You stop watching darts for a year and suddenly De Sousa of all places wins the Grand Slam Guess I have some stuff to read up on before the world championships
  8. Reigning sprint world champions, not reigning sprint EBERSPÄCHER World Cup champions
  9. What coop is this though? Surely it's not the Dutch supermarket chain Coop
  10. Meh, not so much to party about this season, since it's the first time since the second World War the mother of all speed skating world championships won't be held. And it's not even a pandemic consequence, but a conscious decision by ISU's experts from the beaches of Thailand to only do it once every two years now. I didn't bother looking if it's at least the real European championships or the distance ones that can't even create any hype in the Netherlands
  11. Which would be an even worse idea than snow volleyball. And yes, personally I like natural track luge more than snow volleyball. And yes, I know it's in Italy. But it has just no place in the Olympics.
  12. Vini-Zabu was building up the excitement yesterday, big news coming?! Aaaaaand....nope. A one year contract renewel for the 108th place finisher in the Giro d'Italia whose best result in the entire year, by far, was a 22nd place in a poor field in the Trofeo Laigueglia
  13. Can someone tell your government that internet has been invented? And yeah, big Christmas meets are strongly discouraged here as well. Of course they can't actually make laws about the number of people inside your house, free country and all, but they do have 'strong advice' about it. Meaning, no big Christmas with 20+ people all talking way too loud so you can basically not understand anyone
  14. Cyclocross doesn't use it as a gimmick though. It's held on snow if there's snow, it's not if there's no snow. And it is definitely a sport that's held in the winter, although it probably would fit better in the Autumn Olympics.
  15. Why is the sponsor name in the title here and not in that of many other World Cups? And if it has to be there, why isn't it in capital letters as it 'should' be? But yeah, better just take it away of course, nobody except FIL uses it @Sindo On the upside: luge
  16. I will refrain from a celebratory cheer unless she's actually on the start list.
  17. Day three, classic interval start and the women's overall title has been decided with two races to go (Tuesday and Wednesday): @brunamoura convicingly won the race and with that the overall Brazilian Rollerski Circuit title for the 6th consecutive year Bruna won the race with a big new PB, half a minute faster than last year when she was in more or less top shape, which she isn't yet now (focus is on the world championships). Second place for Mika Picin, third for Duda Ribera, a day after her 16th birthday. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36648 @Jesús won the men's race with a twenty second margin over Yuri Rocha, whereas Victor Santos was a minute behind the Chilean. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36647 Rest day tomorrow, then it's the final races of the rollerski circuit.
  18. That's not called fraud in Slovakia? I'm definitely planning to use my free days next year whenever the Olympics are, assuming and hoping I still have my job then
  19. Can we permanently ban France, Germany and/or USA from TISC if they ever enter this song, please, @Sindo? I've been hearing it what feels like non-stop and now even in sports events like speed skating and ski jumping
  20. Or Jorrit Bergsma here. Fantastic athlete, there's no doubt about that, but I can't stand the guy
  21. Yeah, see? I truly don't give a shit what nation you're from, if you're like Kaisa I'll absolutely be cheering for you!
  22. Maybe how much I cared makes up for that a little That was absolutely legendary. The raw emotion in the voice of the German commentator when it was decided is still firmly in my mind and I was cheering so badly for him to win
