  1. The Kosmos Group seems happy enough with the vote
  2. And that's just in order to win the national championship, imagine what he took for the worlds
  3. At that point, I believe any individual olympic sport will want to take part during the next edition.
  4. According to the french athletics federation president, Rome could be in the mix for 2022. Anyway, i really do think this thing will turn into the mid olympiad continental rendez-vous we all wish for. They 've done it the right way. Secure the most popular sports and make sure it's the real thing, and then expand from it. The EG can GTFO and take taekwondo with them.
  5. Malgache people are really small... rugby is massively popular over there, but they can't do shit due to size.
  6. Clearly, we need more facts about football based on internet memes on a athletics thread.
  7. Good, then you'd had decent pétanque players by now. How these pétanque players would have helped you in european athletics is still unknow though.
  8. Just to give a point of reference, not everyone would know what 6.57m out of vacum means. She was injured most of the season.
  9. Heather Arneton (27/07/02) - Athletics Among other things, last year, aged 14, she jumped 6.57m (that would have been a top 8 finish in Berlin for exemple). She is kinda allready famous among french sport fans, might be a challange to deal with the allready growing expectation.
  10. Also a PB for Calvin. Well, it was her first Marathon after all
  11. Your favorite mascot beater won't compete tonight neither.
  12. The European Games are dead anyway...
  13. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1065085/kiteboarding-set-to-appear-at-paris-2024-olympics Urban sailing.
  14. The top 8 in men's kiteboarding is made up only of french or bittish ... And it going to be an olympic event in 2024 ...
  15. Seven for France (we made 10 on 10 in 2014)
  16. Thread closed before even being opened.
  17. Probably, not more than 12-15 here, including 4 tennis players and only 3 or 4 T&fT athletes. Could be an interesting thread to try to find out the 'oldest' olympian to make it in Tokyo
  18. Having better throwers than Poland ?
  19. So these European Championships... are they working in your countries ? (from a media point of view I mean) In France, at least, it's a strong yes. Some sports that never get broadcasted on public channels get some well derserved air time. The championships are on TV 10 hours a day, including a good amount of time on one of the main channels. I gives us a slight olympic vibe (and not a fake copy one like the European Games). They are commonly covered by the radio, or the press. For sports like gymnastics or rowing it's day and night whth what they're used to. And i'd say it even works in favor of swimming and athletics.I mean an euro title in these sports are usually small business and not frontpage worthy, and yet... I even wonder if gymnastics or rowing ever made the front page outside of the olympics. Definitly, a media succes.
  20. Well, there are overseas territories mainly populated by non ethnic european people situated in the Caraibiean. That's the common point. But there is nothing thecnical, nor political about that.
  21. Not really, One overseas territory status varies a lot from one to another.
  22. Vicaut won't start the final. Injured...
  23. So, so much better. Grazie, obrigado
  24. Perhaps... Anyway,he had it comming anyway. Remember the pole vault last year. Better to learn now than feel sorry at the WC or the Olympics...
