  1. not to mention that Russia obviously won quite easily the final Medal Table with 3 Gold Medals (and more side dish)... they were followed by 7 different Nations with "only" 1 Gold Medal each, among which China (3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze) and Turkey (2 Silver medals) were the most successful in terms of "minor" medal placings...
  2. 2019 AIBA Women's Boxing World Championships, Medallists Recap -48kg Gold: Ekaterina Paltceva Silver: Manju Rani Bronze: Chuthamat Raksat & Demie Resztan -51kg* Gold: Liliya Aetbaeva Silver: Busenaz Cakiroglu Bronze: Pang Chol Mi & Mery Kom Hmangte -54kg Gold: Huang Hsiao-Wen Silver: Caroline Cruveillier Bronze: Jamuna Boro & Mikiah Kreps -57kg* Gold: Nesthy Petecio Silver: Liudmila Vorontsova Bronze: Lin Yu-Ting & Karriss Artingstall -60kg* Gold: Beatriz Iasmin Ferreira Silver: Wang Cong Bronze: Mira Potkonen & Rashida S. 3. the last bout... Danielle Perkins almost KOed Yang Xiaoli (she did even knocked her down once...she literally destroyed her)...and the judges (all 5) still managed to score the bout "only" 30-27 for the American fighter...
  4. yes, and finally the Russian girl went on to win a really undeserved Gold medal (also her win in today's final bout was quite controversial)... and apparently the Welsh team appealed against Price's loss to Fontijn in the -75kg Gold Medal match... they stopped the victory ceremony after presenting the 2 Bronze medallists and delayed the whole presentation to a later moment (right now we're just watching the last of today's fights...there's no much time left to take a definitive decision)...
  5. yay! first ever Italian podium in the WSL circuit! pity that Leo wasn't able to take part into the ISA World Games because of that fuc*in' shoulder injury that ruined most of his season)... hopefylly, he's going to get an Olympic spot next year (even if it's going to be extremely difficult)...

  11. sorry, for not answering earlier...but I had to go preparing the dinner for my dad and myself... could you give me some more details? p.s. Igor Cassina (commentating for our National TV) said the opposite...it was close, but Lodadio was better in his opinion...
  12. meh I'm not an expert, but to my eyes Lodadio's exercise was better than Colak's... what do you think about it?
  13. the rules are simple...only 1 boat per NOC can qualify (unless a NOC wins 2 events, which didn't happen), so all the other non winning boats from those NOCs must be "discarded" from the final rankings...
  14. did you expect anything else from this event? they (the Russians) just bought it as a "last minute" flight to build their chances to send someone to the Olympic Games... even the scoring scale is different from the usual competitions (never seen those 100/200 scores before)
  15. I think you messed the genders up (CIV was 5th in the B Final in the W1X, for instance...and this can't give her any qualification spot)...

  25. that's well possible...our swimming federation in the last 10 years improved a lot in both the technical and the financial mangement...and now iot's one of the richest federations in Italy (thanks mainly to the good results, as funding released by NOC is based mainly on that)... and Open Water Swimming has always been well supported, it's never been the black sheep of the federation (probably because they were already winning world medals when our pool swimmers still used to struggle a lot even in the European context)...
