  1. The new season is well underway, and after the beginning of the Youth League and of the second-tier Serie A Series in the past weeks, now it's time for the start of the rejuvenated (becoming a lot worse than before, imho ) Karate1 Premier League... Stage #1 is going on this weekend in Fujarah... and this is this year's full K1PL calendar... https://www.wkf.net/karate1-main
  2. I'm not against new sports...I'm against screwing traditional sports & events to replace them with those farce events in the name of the youth & urban "philosophy"... by the way, about those events you mentioned, yes to NTL and ski mountaineering (since they're not "judged sports"), no curling at all (tbh...but that's just personal taste) and no mixed gender events. point. any mixed gender event. exclamation mark! (therefore, no mixed curling, of course)...
  3. because IOC screwed World Skate and promised them to include inline skating, but then opted for 2 disciplines of skateboarding only to be part of the Games... you know, youth and urban...
  4. I respect your opinion, but about the Olympic program I'm a true conservative (and nostalgic...give me back the good old Nineties' -and 2000- Games)...
  5. sure! especially the hockey GMM... they just can't stop that attitude...it drives me more than crazy!
  6. restoration is the key... mass start (unless they take the true Marathon format) and team pursuit must go... the traditional 5 distances are more then enough...and they must not be touched by those youth and urban fanatics who are destroying the Olympics (Summer or Winter doesn't make any difference)...
  7. so, we're already close to the end... tomorrow I'm gonna start at 7 a.m. with a quick recap of the alpine skiing team event, then it's time for some live cross-country skiing (jip) and the speedskating's mass start races semis (on the second screen), followed by the speedskating medal races... in the afternoon, obviously the men's hockey bronze medal match followed by the men's curling gold medal match and the men's halfpipe of freestyle skiing (ondemand)...maybe also the last few sleds of the women's bobsleigh (but only if the medal race is still on)...
  8. then, the main question is: how do you make them do those quad jumps? overtraining? and if it's because of (too much) hard training, how do you make them sustain this routine day after day? not with gentle encouragement words, I guess...
  9. I mean that Italy should have never been invited to the previously 5, now 6 Nations... our team is not good enough, our movement is not even comparable with yours (or the British Unions')... it's as simple as it looks...we just don't belong to that level of rugby... so, when they throw Italy off and replace them with a better team/program is a good thing, but they should have done it 20 years ago, at least...
  10. I agree... but, you know...some good hockey in August is something not to be refused (nor underestimated)... it does shorten my withdrawal symptoms period...
  11. would have liked more Leerdam to win... you know...
  12. when it happens, it's still too late...
  13. tbh, medals were not out of order...actually, Perilli's medal was highly expected...
  14. today's slalom was set by the US coach and obviously he made an exception to that rule to ensure Shiffrin's chances... unfortunately for them, it didn't go how they would have liked, but still, this slalom run was a true one, even more difficult than the 1st run of the actual slalom race...
  15. tbh, this venue is at the same altitude of Antholz, where I've never seen anybody collapsing that way (actually, the previous collapse by Tandrevold was in Oberhof, one of the lowest places in Biathlon)... All the problems we've experienced in these Olympics are surely related to different factors (cold, well known and established sickness -Tandrevold's case- maybe some "treatment" not gone the right way)... p.s. moreover, many Scandinavian athletes who are not born in altitude places normally and regularly abuse of the hypobaric chamber all year long... so, altitude conditions shouldn't be an issue even for them...
  16. pretty much a one-sided prediction, I see... maybe it's better not to tell that to Sandra Naeslund...she might think we're all a bunch of...
  17. don't worry, our noc will fire all the ice federation's officials and coaches she wants to be replaced... and we'll find the way to cover her with money to keep on going until 2026... She and Goggia are not only the 2 most talented athletes we have, they're also the cover girls of our home Games... p.s. another amazing stat...Fontana, Schulting and Desmet made all 3 individual finals...I don't think we've never seen 3 girls at the same time being so dominant over the whole range of distances...
  18. tomorrow I'm starting at 7 a.m. with the alpine skiing women's combined event live, followed by the women's skicross competition ondemand... then back live to speedskating and nordic combined... finally, in the afternoon it's time for the women's hockey gold medal match...
  19. our broadcasters explained that because they saw her on the stretcher talking with the doctor seemingly in pain for a physical injury rather than collapsed like Tandrevold the previous race... of course they're not even on site, so they misread the real situation...
  20. Norway is gonna win it... Sweden and Germany will be on the podium, but maybe France still have a chance... if we're lucky, 5th place is our max target...
  21. no, most likely she fell down in a downhill section...
  22. so, finally she could fulfill her dream... I'm happy for her...hope she can have a lot of success with the Greek NT (always behind Italy, of course )...
