  2. Medal or no medal, I will continue supporting our athletes. Frequency may decline in the lean periods, but would try my level best to ensure that this thread remains active always.
  3. I think all matches. But since all three teams defeated Poland 2-0, it shouldn't matter. I think DEN is out as they have worst game difference.
  4. Between two teams H2H. More teams game difference followed by point difference
  5. Mairaj finishes at 121. Worst case, he will be in shoot-off for Finals.

  7. Massive NR for Lalita Babar. 9:19.76. She finishes 4th in heat. Still has chance to qualify as fastest losers
  8. If only, Rowing Federation sheds its ego and ended its turf war with Army.
  9. Dattu wins Final C and betters Sawarn's performance from London. He finishes 13th overall
  10. Good start for Mairaj 25 in series 4

  12. While fighting at CAS also, Dutee Chand (and lot of us) knew that she was never going to compete for medals at elite level like Semenya. Her fight was for a chance to compete. She reached her peak in trying to qualify for Olympics. Here, quite possibly occasion got to her and she couldn't come close to her best. Hopefully, she will be allowed to compete in future and she will come back stronger after this.
  13. Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna win their match. We reach Semifinals.
  14. Govt. CANNOT make any changes in any federation. If it is found that govt. is not allowing any NSF to function independently, then that NSF can/will be suspended by the parent world body. The only way govt. can influence the federation is through grants. If govt. is not satisfied by performance of a NOC, it can reduce its grants. But, doing so for Shooting would be foolish. Despite, sub-optimal performance here, Shooting still remains one of our best medal hopes for CWG/Asian/Olympics.
  15. I know. This is for classification places 13-18. That was my target for Dattu before Olympics began. He has achieved it. Hence,
  16. my mistake. Meant 3 sets. Good work Johnson:)
  17. Scott Evans has defeated Marc Zweibler. Scott should now easily qualify for Round of 16
  18. Come on Johnson, take Murray to 5 sets and then lose so Murray is tired and not extra motivated for his XD match
  19. Everybody will have lower scores in 3rd series. You have 8 seconds to shoot 5 targets in Series 1, 6 seconds in Series 2 and 4 seconds in Series 3. He should be fighting for a place in finals tomorrow. By my reckoning, he would either be in top 6 or near top 6 by the end of the day.
  20. Big wins for Polish and British pairs today in XD. Group B is very nicely placed with all 4 teams with one win each. Winners tomorrow vs and vs will go through to Quarters
  21. Mairaj and Gurpreet do well on day 1 of their qualifications. Mairaj shot 49/50 in skeet. Gurpreet shot 289/300 in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol. Edit: They will shoot 3 series today in Skeet.
