  1. As I had feared, WADA has appealed clean chit to Narsingh. Special bench of CAS in Rio will hear his case. There is a very real chance that he won't be allowed to compete in Rio (and of course no one will be allowed to replace him)

  10. Medal or no medal, I will continue supporting our athletes. Frequency may decline in the lean periods, but would try my level best to ensure that this thread remains active always.
  11. I think all matches. But since all three teams defeated Poland 2-0, it shouldn't matter. I think DEN is out as they have worst game difference.
  12. Between two teams H2H. More teams game difference followed by point difference
  13. Mairaj finishes at 121. Worst case, he will be in shoot-off for Finals.

  15. Lalita qualifies for Finals
  16. He finished 7th
  17. Massive NR for Lalita Babar. 9:19.76. She finishes 4th in heat. Still has chance to qualify as fastest losers
  18. If only, Rowing Federation sheds its ego and ended its turf war with Army.
  19. Dattu wins Final C and betters Sawarn's performance from London. He finishes 13th overall
  20. Good start for Mairaj 25 in series 4

  22. While fighting at CAS also, Dutee Chand (and lot of us) knew that she was never going to compete for medals at elite level like Semenya. Her fight was for a chance to compete. She reached her peak in trying to qualify for Olympics. Here, quite possibly occasion got to her and she couldn't come close to her best. Hopefully, she will be allowed to compete in future and she will come back stronger after this.
  23. Vikash reaches Qurter Finals
  24. Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna win their match. We reach Semifinals.
  25. Govt. CANNOT make any changes in any federation. If it is found that govt. is not allowing any NSF to function independently, then that NSF can/will be suspended by the parent world body. The only way govt. can influence the federation is through grants. If govt. is not satisfied by performance of a NOC, it can reduce its grants. But, doing so for Shooting would be foolish. Despite, sub-optimal performance here, Shooting still remains one of our best medal hopes for CWG/Asian/Olympics.
