Everybody will have lower scores in 3rd series. You have 8 seconds to shoot 5 targets in Series 1, 6 seconds in Series 2 and 4 seconds in Series 3. He should be fighting for a place in finals tomorrow. By my reckoning, he would either be in top 6 or near top 6 by the end of the day.

Big wins for Polish and British pairs today in XD. Group B is very nicely placed with all 4 teams with one win each. Winners tomorrow vs and vs will go through to Quarters

Mairaj and Gurpreet do well on day 1 of their qualifications. Mairaj shot 49/50 in skeet. Gurpreet shot 289/300 in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol. Edit: They will shoot 3 series today in Skeet.

As expected, we lose our women's hockey match against United States but surprisingly we are not out of race for QF. We can qualify for QF by simply causing the biggest upset of this Olympics and our women's team's history and defeat Argentina. Now off to watch Chak De to prepare for the match.

To be honest I didn't expect Spain to do so well here. I thought they would compete with New Zealand for 4th place but their win against Australia, really opened the group up. And, there is no doubt, Spain is a good team, but I fear Australia more than Spain. Hence, hoping for Spain in QF and not Australia.

If Spain lose to GB by 1 goal, Australia would need to defeat Brazil by 7 goals. Australia play Brazil after Spain-GB match and after Group B is complete. So, they can basically chose if they want to face India by finishing 2nd or Germany/Netherlands by finishing 3rd. And, Brazil has a GD of -36 from 4 games, so it is safe to say, Australia can defeat Brazil by 7+ goals easily.

Yes, delay was due to that only. Hence I was saying that organizers should have swapped the match, so Nadal gets deserved rest and schedule moves fine.

Considering that almost full day of play was lost yesterday, I think it is silly, that they will leave the court empty for an hour. They should have swapped the match with the next match.

Before Olympics started, the only things I wanted from group stages was 1) good performance 2) QF and 3) avoid Australia in QF. There is no way Australia is going to finish in top 2, so 3rd or 4th is not bad. Edit: Just rechecked, if Spain loses both their matches, then Australia can overtake them to finish second.

Archery, like other precision sports, is very fickle. Thats why we have Myanmarese tripartite archer in Rd of 16 and Korean who broke WR in qualifiers already out.
