Goodnight Egypt! Remarkably that is Sweden's first 12 points of the contest and keeps them in touch. They move in to joint second alongside Italy on 147 points. However, despite not scoring in that round, the United Kingdom remain 22 points ahead on 169 points. Just 10 juries left to cast their votes but still plenty of time for things to change. I have added the format for deciding ties for position within the group stage to the rules. It will mostly follow the same tie-break criteria as those used in FIFA WC. I still have to add the "best 3rd place" rules to that post but we have already established what the rule is on thread at least.

Thank you Greece! Jubilation among the Serbian delegation and their fans as they receive their first maximum 12-point score of the contest. And as we complete the second session of voting, the United Kingdom has built a commanding 30-point lead over their rivals. However there are still 11 national juries left to vote in the final session including the United Kingdom so things remain open. However, things are looking good at the moment for John Lennon in his quest for victory. Italy remain in second position with 139 points, closely followed by Sweden on 135 points. Rounding off the top 5 we have Guyana in 4th position with 114 points, ahead of Mexico on 109 points. Cheers around the arena from the UK fans as the United Kingdom scores a second consecutive 12-point score and that's the sixth national jury to award the maximum vote to John Lennon. Importantly it also pushes the United Kingdom out to a 27-point advantage over their nearest rivals, Italy. This may prove to be a significant gap as we call upon the last jury to vote in this session. Just a note also that Canada has re-entered the Top 5 for the first time in quite a while and have become the latest nation to exceed the 100-point mark.
