Thank you Slovenia! The United Kingdom with their first 12 points of the proceedings and pulls them back up into the Top 5. However, another massive vote of 11 points for the Italy, following up a trio of maximum 12 points has them sitting pretty at the head of the scoreboard. An astonishing run of results, picking up 47 of 48 available points in the last 4 rounds of voting. Italy end the first voting session with a healthy 16 point advantage over 2nd place Sweden, and Canada 1 point further back in 3rd. 4 nations are still looking to break their duck after the first session of voting - Argentina, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia all remain scoreless - but there's plenty of juries left to vote in the coming sessions. Fingers crossed for all 4 of those nations and hopefully it won't be too long before they have their first points of the contest.
