    Singles

    Sumit           - 156

    Mukund        - 365

    Doubles

    Rohan             - 7

    Yuki               - 65

    Saketh           - 81

    Balaji             - 88

    Jeevan           - 94

    Anirudh          - 96

Can Rohan Bopanna maintain his top 10 ranking till July'24 to automatically qualify. Even if he doesn't qualify automatically, is combined ranking of Rohan-Yuki enough to ensure qualification

T20 is always unpredictable and most matches are close. A lower ranked team could easily defeat a higher ranked side. With possibly 8 quota places on offer, it won’t guarantee any of the top sides a place and each will need to earn their places. I wont be surprised if one of the big teams fail to qualify and one of the smaller cricketing nation makes it.
I get er reason for having multiple quota places available at the final qualifying but then again it still doesn’t guarantee :IND / :AUS or both . Could easily be :PAK / :BAN or even :BAR / :JAM / :ZIM taking their places.
Another way could be as suggested before , let the host take the quota of that confederation and that will free up an additional quota place at the final qualifier.

You don't know the might of BCCI, India will qualify somehow 😜

    I've gone for this.

#1 Hosts (Providing they meet a certain standard, maybe top 30 in the world?)

    #2 World Champions

#3 Winners of Asian qualifying tournament

    #4 Winners of Oceanian qualifier

#5 Winners of joint Euro-Africa qualifier

    #6 Winners of Pan-American qualifier

#7 and #8 Finalists in last chance global qualifier

USA are already 22nd in Men and 24th in Women in T20 rankings, but any group containing USA shall be to lopsided

I think the reason that it has not been in the Olympics already is that the cricket association is  parochial and has not been open to the integration. With the board open now , it is only for IOC to benefit hugely by the inclusion.

In my opinion if cricket is included in the Olympics, huge reforms will happen in ICC and respective national cricket boards especially of India and Pakistan.
Firstly ICC has to allocate more resources to Associate nations, come up with a better Future Tours Program (FTP) which shall accommodate Olympics and qualifying tournaments.
BCCI can no longer operate as an NGO but has to come under Indian Sports Ministry which hopefully would mean more transparency and better governance. The BCCI's arrogance can be clearly shown in World Cup tickets fiasco.
In Pakistan's case, their Prime Minister can't be patron-in-chief of PCB and there has to be regular elections to select their new Chairman. This will actually improve their cricket.

Still a fair few months to go , but do you think Esow can qualify through rankings in Keirin (also doubling up in sprint) ?

Qualification for Sprint and Keirin is as follows
    1) Top 8 countries in Team Sprint shall qualify
    2) Top 7 countries in Individual Sprint not qualified via Team Sprint shall qualify
    3) Top 7 countries in Individual Keirin not qualified via Team Sprint shall qualify

So as per Sep 5 rankings top 8 teams in Team Sprint are
    1) Netherlands - 5205 pts
    2) Australia - 5100
    3) France - 4380 pts
    4) Great Britain- 4095 pts
    5) Japan - 3997 pts
    6) China - 3937 pts
    7) Germany - 3641 pts
    8) Canada - 3300
India is at 16th rank with 1479 pts

Thus countries who qualify via Individual Sprint are
    1) Trinidad & Tobago - 3000 pts
    2) Poland - 2850
    3) Malaysia - 2470
    4) Israel - 2372
    5) Suriname - 2185
    6) Colombia - 1684
    7) South Africa - 745 (Continental quota)
    India has 405 pts

Thus countries who qualify via Individual Keirin are
    1) Colombia - 2917 pts
    2) Malaysia - 2865 pts
    3) Suriname - 2430 pts
    4) New Zealand - 2330 pts
    5) Israel - 2192 pts
    6) Trinidad & Tobago - 1964 pts
    7) Thailand - 1731 pts
    India has 594 pts

So its highly unlikely that India can qualify in this Olympic cycle

not really AFC's decision :d, Saudis own AFC, one day they decided to not come and AFC said yes Sir as you wish and after 7 years they got buddy buddy with the old enemy and changed their mind, AFC again said Yes Sir.

but there is a funny story, Saudi clubs now have lots of very big names in their squads, of course fans love to watch them. Ronaldo's club is grouped with the most popular club here Persepolis. and while fans were happy to watch him and Mane and other guys. they found out Persepolis has to play its first AFC Champions League match behind the closed doors :d  because their instagram account wrote something very very stupid about India two years ago. (that's a weird and unrelated punishment though)

btw until last year teams were limited to have 3+1 foreign players in their squads. AFC CL this year is a completely different beast with lots of foreign players in each team. Good luck to our shitty clubs facing these super rich Saudi and Qatari teams

Is the Saudi clubs' spending spree the reasons of creation of AFC Champions League Elite from 2024 season where clubs from only select countries can play and its extremely difficult for clubs from other countries to participate. They went the European Super League route!!

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu in group D with an entry total of 60kg.  Either there is a mistake in entry or she is just going to meet minimum tournament requirements. These examples show what a mockery the present qualification system is.

P.S.: Out of 6 Indians, 3 have entry totals of 60kg. Really looking forward to following the tournament. :hyper:

She is just going to participate with no lifts as this tournament is mandatory to participate for Olympic qualification. Her main focus is Asian Games

    :IND (3 entries)

    After 14 races : 89, 91 & 93/93

    7) Men’s Kite ( Formula Kite)

** Top 8 qualifies for olympics

    :IND ( 1 entry)

    After 15 races : 79/84

    8) Women’s Windsurfing (IQ Foil)

Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan should qualify as there are plenty of quotas in Laser Dinghy overall and for Asia. Does anyone know how quotas under Emerging Nations shall be handed out as India is considered an 'Emerging Nation' in Sailing
