  1. First off, I was surprised that the live show was available here in the US without a VPN (but I watched the show with one because I don't trust the EBU ) Also, I love the French entry. It was my winner this year, so I'm happy Valentina got to win it for real.
  2. And the Netherlands will stay at number 23 in the final (no surprise there)
  3. Yep, not surprised. At. All (and yes, he's one of my senators)
  4. US Jury Voting Stats (after 15 contests) (posting screenshots because this girl forgot about the 75 emojis per post rule) Thanks to @dcro for filling in the missing votes. These are the total number of points each country got from the US jury over the years: Combined (my personal votes from 2013 open to 2018 annual + the magic powers of being a multijury starting from 2018 open) Me (from 2013 open to present) @Olympian1010 (from 2018 open to present)
  5. Okay, so I wrote down the US votes of contests past (2013 and since 2016 annual) and I might do an Excel sheet of who got the most points from the jury over the years. BUT... I still don't have the votes from 2014 (annual and open) and 2015 (annual and open), so I guess archive.org will be my best friend for a while, but anyway, I can tell you the top 5 earners from the US jury since the 2016 annual are Bulgaria, Ireland, Greece, Mexico, and India.
  6. Yeah, this is getting bad. We have 11mil+ cases in the US already. In fact, we added 1 million more in less than a week alone. Michigan is already announcing new restrictions that is being met with resistance (surprise, surprise) Texas and California already have a million cases each. I'm surprised Florida is not already there considering how inept the governor and the governments in general are here (Matt Gaetz already had it) Trump and Melania tested positive on October 2 as part of the outbreak at the White House stemming from the nomination ceremony of Amy Coney Barrett, which also affected those in Trump's orbit, including AG Bill Barr, former NJ governor Chris Christie, Trump's chief of staff Kellyanne Conway (her daughter had it too), Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, and yes, even their son Barron Trump. ACB had the virus in August As for my family's health, my immediate family are still covid free, but my cousin tested positive in June (he's fine now, but he had to wait in quarantine for two weeks from taking the test to getting the result, which is more than just pitiful in a country like the United States) Now that Trump lost the election, whether he wants to realize it or not, he's not gonna do anything about covid (other than taking credit for the two vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna with high effective rates). Biden already has a task force team ready to go on Day 1, but for now, expect our situation to get a lot worse
  7. I see your point, and honestly I would like to know too, but extending the time period is a 'last resort' thing that might end up not being needed, hence why Dan asked in the first place.
  8. You're an artist so you obviously know something I don't about how the pandemic is really affecting the music industry. But you think the 2021 annual would consist of half of the countries with songs released in 2019 and therefore affect your chances and those of other countries who have 2020 material, then I got a bridge to sell you, my friend. Like I said, I'm not worried about the US song selection as we have a lot to choose from, and quite frankly, I'm not worried about yours either since you have inside knowledge. If we end up not extending, then I'll be okay with it too.
  9. lol that's not happening and you know it! My reasoning for A is for the few countries that might not have enough releases in 2020 to go with. As for my team, we will have a 2020 song competing next year, that is not a problem
  10. Because I'm not an evil bitch... But really, if you think about it, we might have a few countries without viable 2020 releases that would compete next year. That doesn't change anyone's chances of winning tho
  11. Alright, time to send my congrats to @heywoodu for hosting the contest. It's nice to have a contest in the Netherlands (since we couldn't have Eurovision this year lmao thanks COVID). My congratulations to @NikolaB on your win and to @intoronto and especially @Glen for your podium finishes. As for our entry, I can't say I'm disappointed, but I thought we would've done better. We would' explore filing lawsuits to contest this, but then again, we couldn't get our presser location right and we ended up at Four Seasons Total Landscaping Hotel in Philadelphia, so our lawsuits aren't going anywhere. For now, we will thank @Agger @Wumo @Werloc @OlympicIRL @amen09 @tuniscof @intoronto @Vektor @Ruslan @Janakis for the 62 points
  12. Final CNN projection: Malta wins Alaska Ireland somehow wins Nevada, even though their voting machine broke
  13. A CNN host who is not Wolf Blitzer has projected that Serbia will win Arizona and Georgia, and Canada will win North Carolina The battle for Alaska has come down to Ireland and Malta
  14. Blitzer: CNN can now project that the Republic of Serbia will win the 2020 Totallympics Open International Song Contest, denying Canada of a TISC sweep. We are able to make that call because we project that Serbia will win Pennsylvania's* 20 electoral votes, pulling off a rare* defeat of a defending champion *Czech Republic *Not THAT rare
  15. After John King becomes the magic wall, Wolf Blitzer is about to make a historic* projection *keyword is historic
  16. If I knew how to photoshop, I would replace Joe Biden with Serbia because I think it appears that their lead is greater than the number of possible points left...
  17. My dinner time is usually at 4:30pm-5pm, sometimes 5:30pm, rarely past 6pm
  18. While he is waiting for John King to stop infusing himself with the magic wall, Wolf Blitzer makes the projection that Serbia will win Wisconsin and Michigan based on the analysis. Canada must win Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania to win the contest, while Serbia only needs to win one of the states (preferably Pennsylvania's 20 electorial votes). Nevada, meanwhile, is still counting and recounting the votes. Alaska is WTF
