  1. Unless some unexpected disqualification happens after this round, here are the Olympic quotas in women’s team pursuit: France overtook Belgium for the last spot. Sadly for Ireland, even winning the Champs give them enough points to surpass the French team.

  5. Congratulations @dcro Rijeka should be ready for a Tequila party!
  6. Indeed as @Grassmarket said, this is FINA's second tier circuit, open to every federation. However, we may see some good divers, some making a comeback from injury or a short pause in their careers, along those who narrowly missed a spot on the World Series by just a few points. The stage is set for the first event, to be hosted in Madrid from tomorrow until Sunday. Live Results should be accesible in this link, while Startlists & Results will appear on the second one. Among the finals to be contested tomorrow, the American divers in women's 3m springboard should start as favorites, but as per the rules, two of them will not advance to semifinals, so it will be interesting to see who gets and early exit. However, the US squad should also lookout for Ukraine's Olena Fedorova, who should be their main challenge. We could also expect nice performances from the Aussies Sheehan and Koloi (who are very capable competitors, but are part of their country's team in this event, plus Sweden's Emma Gullstrand and Ireland's Clare Cryan, both of whom will be looking to sharpen their executions looking for a ticket for the Olympics at FINA's World Cup in April. Likewise, David Dinsmore should secure the top spot in men's 10m platform. His main rivals will come among Vinko Paradzik (SWE), Maicol Verzotto (ITA), Nikolaos Molvalis (GRE) and the Canadian guys.
  7. Australia won the women's C2 500 race; however, the results page doesn't clarify is Samoa actually started, was disqualified or any other reason for them not having a registered time, so I'm in doubt if they will be awarded the quota.
  8. Again this "I ate tainted meat"... my God, they're adult pro players, not juniors. They should look what they eat if they are aware meat in often tainted in their countries.
  9. So you can dope and since it was only the first time, they'll let you walk away with this. Shocking
  10. And Brazil has a chance to defend their Olympic title.
  11. Decent showing for Andrea Montesinos, although she completely missed an element in her short program, and crumbled after the first segment of her free. Still she is improving slowly and has secured a spot in Junior Worlds. Meanwhile, Donovan Carrillo skated a clean short program which earned him a PB in the segment; he should be looking to add a quad next season if he wants to have a chance to be in Beijing 2022. Unfortunately for him, he didn't skate a great free program, with some errors, which in the end cost him qualification for World Championships by just .20 points, which I'm sure he would have been given have he skated for Japan, Russia or USA.
  12. MEXICO After a thorough deliberation, the Mexican jury has selected its entry for the 2020 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest. Without further introduction we present the artists going to Algeria this spring Axel Muñiz ft. Maite Perroni & Juan Magán - Sin Ti
  13. advances to next year Fed Cup playoffs
  14. Indeed a good result... gives me some hopes she won't finish dead last in Tokyo.
  15. I'm not such a fan of Mexico's women's team. Their highest peak was before 2015... since then every player is just as "diva" and has an attitude like on the men's side, so I'm actually cheering for USA.
  16. Entries and prospectus for African qualification tournament
  17. OK, got it. So no quota either in men's kayak and women's canoe then?
  18. Quotas for Daniel Watkins in men's canoe and Kate Eckhardt in women's kayak What a surprise
  19. i'm already on it, but you're right it's a little too much. I'll start to upload the previews next week. So far the following quotas are 100% sure: in men's team pursuit. in men's team sprint in women's team sprint Even if they get disqualified at this year's worlds, they couldn't drop below 8th place.
  20. As per the results website it appears 470 and laser boats completed 7 races and RS:X sailors race 10, while Finn class completed all, with only the medal race remaining. That being said, here are the Olympic quotas already decided: 470 M 470 W Finn Laser Radial RS:X M RS:X W
