If Ludwig/Lippmann win, they book their ticket to the Olympics. If Ittlinger/Borger win, they’ll need a 5th or better to qualify for Paris.

  4. Recap of the last day of action. Audrey Lamothe and Jacqueline Simoneau won silver in duet free with 246.5501 points, approximately 7.5 points better than their Doha score (would’ve finished 4th), and bronze in team acrobatic with 236.3034 points, approximately 14 points better than their Doha score.
  5. Canada defeat Cuba 3-1 in match 4 of Men’s VNL, to improve to 3-2! Way too many missed serves in the late stages of the 2nd and 4th sets, definitely something to work on for their next match, but overall a really strong performance.
  6. defeat 3-1 To all of the Serbian users on here, you’re welcome.
  7. Canada’s women’s team played Mexico in two pre-Olympic friendlies. 2-0 win in game 1 and 1-1 tie in game 2.
  8. 12.70 and 12.83 for Mariam Abdul-Rashid and Michelle Harrison in the women’s 100m hurdles!
  9. Well actually it depends. Highly unlikely, but it’s possible they only compete individually and we have four other women for the relay.
  10. Rob Snoek as a volleyball commentator? Could they really not get anyone else?
  11. DOUBLE OLYMPIC QUOTA ALERT!! Lauren Gale 50.47, and Zoe Sherar 50.79 in the women’s 400m at the Royal Inferno Festival!
  12. women’s Olympic race for the 2nd quota Esmee/Zoe: 7900 pts (1000, 800, 800, 760, 680, 680, 600, 600, 600, 460, 460, 460) Verge-Depre/Mader: 7580 pts (800, 760, 760, 680, 680, 640, 600, 600, 600, 460, 460, 460) Verge-Depre/Mader need to reach the semifinals to qualify for Paris. As there’ll probably be a potential 2nd round matchup between the two in qualification, there’s no other scenarios.
  13. Agreed, but at the same time there’s been many disappointments this Olympic qualification period. Wasn’t expecting 380, but thought 330-335 was doable.
  14. men’s Olympic race for the 2nd quota Budinger/Evans: 8400 pts (800, 800, 760, 760, 760, 720, 680, 680, 640, 600, 600) Crabb/Brunner: 7860 pts (1120, 800, 800, 760, 600, 600, 600, 600, 600, 460, 460, 460) Crabb/Brunner need to podium, and hope that Budinger/Evans don’t finish 5th or better if they want to qualify for Paris. If they finish 5th, Crabb/Brunner would need to win the gold medal. Budinger/Evans can secure their Olympic ticket with a semifinal appearance.
  15. team (4 athletes) Men Edward Ly - Men’s Singles, Men’s Team Eugene Wang - Men’s Singles, Men’s Team Jeremy Hazin - Men’s Team Women Mo Zhang - Women’s Singles
  16. team (2 athletes) Men Gunnar Holmgren Women Isabella Holmgren As far as medals are concerned, Gunnar might have a chance in men’s mountain biking, although he’s probably on the outside looking in. Career best 8th at the recent Novo Mestre World Cup, and 5th at the Olympic test event. Isabella, who is the reigning junior World Champion, dominated in her U23 debut in Novo Mestre, winning by over 2 minutes. Won’t trouble for a medal, but it really shows what she’s capable of.
  17. Felix Auger-Aliassime (men’s singles), Leylah Fernandez (women’s singles), Bianca Andresscu (women’s singles), and Gaby Dabrowski (women’s doubles) have officially qualified for Paris through the Olympic Rankings! Shapo won’t be at the Olympics yet again due to his knee
  18. Denis Shapovalov (tennis) @Topicmaster1010 @intoronto https://tennistonic.com/tennis-news/720016/injured-denis-shapovalov-will-not-play-the-french-open-doubles-and-the-olympics/amp/
  19. Such a shame that didn’t recurve the universality quota in women’s surfing
  20. Nothing against you of course, but if that’s you’re first thought when Djokovic gets injured then Look, I get that it’s the first time an Italian man has ever been world #1… but SHAME ON YOU!! Have some compassion (just kidding… sort of)
  21. men’s Olympic race Boermans/de Groot: 9180 pts (1200, 1000, 960, 900, 760, 760, 760, 720, 600, 600, 460, 460) Immers/Van De Velde: 8880 pts (1100, 900, 900, 800, 800, 760, 760, 600, 600, 600, 600, 460) Brouwer/Meeuwsen: 8600 pts (1000, 800, 760, 760, 760, 760, 760, 600, 600, 600, 600, 600) Boermans/de Groot qualify for Paris if they achieve a 9th place finish or better, or Brouwer/Meeuwsen don’t win gold in Ostrava. If neither of those things happen, they’ll also need to hope that Immers/Van De Velde don’t finish 5th or better. Immers/VDV qualify for Paris with a semifinal finish or better, or if Brouwer/Meeuwsen don’t make the semifinals. Brouwer/Meeuwsen need to reach the semifinals and hope that Immers/VDV are 13th to qualify for Paris. If Immers/VDV reach the round of 12, they’ll need a silver medal. If Immers/VDV reach the quarterfinals, they’ll need a gold medal.
  22. Canada has secured one quota in women’s BMX racing through the Olympic Rankings!
