ISIS takes responsibility for like every terrotist attack anyway. Nobody takes that seriously anymore.
USA warned of a terrorist attack few days ago so obviously their spying satellites have picked up something. Ever since FSB blew up the aparment blocs in 1999 to justify the Second Chechen War we know these terrorist attacks in Russia are probably an inside provocation.

konig reacted to Book in Totallympics Introduction Thread
Hello all!
I'm Book. A long time fan of the Olympics but only recently started lurking on this forum, looking for qualification updates. Thought I'd pop in and start talking now, seems like a fun crowd.
I'm from the US, born in Los Angeles and spent most of my life in Oregon, now living in Massachusetts. My first memories of sports was at a rec center built as part of a parks initiative of the 1984 games. After getting the Olympic bug in 2008 I convinced my parents to drive me up to Vancouver in 2010 where we stayed in Canada just long enough to see the first two heats of 2 man bobsleigh. I was luckily able to get some tickets to Football, Athletics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Modern Pentathlon for Paris, so my Olympic hype is at an all time high right now. Looking for some sport climbing tickets still.
On the forum I hope to be a resident expert on US Track and Field trials and LA 2028 planning, anything Olympics on the US west coast I'll chat to anyone about.

In this space we present some cities inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
GENOVA
Genoa, situated in the in the Ligurian Sea,, was the capital of one of the most powerful maritime republics for over seven centuries, from the 11th century to 1797. Particularly from the 12th century to the 15th century, the city played a leading role in the commercial trade in Europe.
The historical centre, also known as old town, of Genoa is one of the largest and most-densely populated in Europe. Part of it was also inscribed on the World Heritage List (UNESCO) in 2006 as Genoa: Le Strade Nuove and the system of the Palazzi dei Rolli.
The Strade Nuove (Italian for "New Streets") are a group of streets built by the Genoese aristocracy during the expansion of the city at a time when the Republic of Genoa was at the height of its financial and seafaring power. These are Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, Via Balbi, Via Cairoli. The Palazzi dei Rolli (Italian for "Palaces of the Lists") are a group of palaces, most of which also date from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, which were associated to a particular system of ‘public lodging’ in private residences, whereby notable guests on State visit to the Republic were hosted in one of these palaces on behalf of the State. The "Rolli" or "Lists" preserved to this day were five: 1576 (including 52 palaces); 1588 (111); 1599 (150); 1614 (96); and 1664 (95). In total, there were 162 palaces included at least once in one of these official lists. Are the forty-two palaces currently included by UNESCO in the World Heritage Site.

not only in Italy but in other countries like Greece and Cyprus also happens the same. They consider Putin as the anti-globalization "leader" against all those they regard as responsible (they call them "new world order") for the planet's and their country economic (and maybe other ones as well) problems ...

konig reacted to phelps in [OFF TOPIC] Politics Thread
Italy is the place in Europe with most Putin's fans that hope to see him destroy EU and invade our Country to rule it like it's Russia
but except for a few fanatics, I think that most people doesn't even know what's really happening out East
our media are full of propaganda in favor of both sides (depending on the political orientation), but in all cases there's the feeling that's not a thing really close to us
should something truly happen, we would show the world that we're totally imprepared for anything serious (we can't even manage those few illegal immigrants coming here on the ferry boats from North Africa...how could we cope with a true war? )

In this space we present some cities inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
MATERA
Matera, a city in Basilicata known worldwide for its historic “Sassi”, two districts (Sasso Caveoso and Sasso Barisano), well-known for their ancient cave dwellings inhabited since the Paleolithic period.
Listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993, along with the park of the Rupestrian Churches.
The term "sasso" derives from Latin saxum, meaning rock or great stone.
The "Sassi" of Matera are an urban settlement deriving from the various forms of civilization that have occurred over time. The streets in some parts of the Sassi often run on top of other houses. The ancient town grew up on one slope of the ravine created by the Gravina river.
In the 1950s, the government of Italy forcefully relocated most of the population of the Sassi to areas of the developing modern city. Beset by extreme poverty and riddled with malaria, the unhealthy living conditions were considered inhuman, however, people continued to live in the Sassi. Until the late 1980s this was considered an area of poverty, since many of these houses were uninhabitable.
The recovery action that began in the mid-1980s has a historical value however also has become more tourism-oriented, and it has promoted the regeneration of the Sassi with the aid of many stake-holders.
The rock churches in the territory of Matera and along the ravines of the Murgia Materana park there are around 150 small churches carved into the rock, founded mainly in the Early Middle Ages, they are buildings carved into the rock. Initially born as religious structures, over time they have undergone various transformations of use, becoming homes or shelters for animals. They are an important testimony to the presence of communities of Benedictine, Lombard and Byzantine monks.

I am not going to fall into this trap made by our shitty politicians. They just invent every crap which happen time by time to present it loud on the first pages just in purpose to cover more important issues of this country they purposely ignore and instead push their pro-kremlin agenda and keep embarassing this country everywhere and everytime since they won the elections last autumn...
So, yeah we have bears and yeah, sometimes accidents happens (sometimes sadly also fatal ones), we always had bears and always accidents happened (sometimes sadly also fatal ones), but It never was so big topic like nowadays to put it in first newspapers titles around the globe. In our schools they teach children what to do when you meet a bear but you will always found people who will try various stupid things.
Also this topic of reducing bears population is just artificially build in order to succeed to reclassify the degrees of protection in our mountains and forests so that more can be "mined" and sold to developers. There is nothing behind it but money and money for these corrupt bastards in government and that nationalist party rulling the ministry of environment...
