  7. Tomorrow is, among other things, the men's 10k. Could be very interesting with Bergsma in his current shape: he is someone for who the classic formula of (2 x 5km time) + 20s = 10km time often works very well, looking at the past 6-7 years of national championships that was often correct within a few seconds (more often faster than slower). That might put him on 12:35 or even world record pace tomorrow..

  8. New updates about our favorite pre-olympics time telenovela. Found this on the specialized hockey forum send by a Norwegian user. Here is the copy/paste of his post China will play against a russian KHL team 13 and 15 november according to norwegian hockey president Tage Pettersen. The game will be streamed on internet and is open for everyone. Luc Tardif (president iihf) and IIHF will pick out 5 experts that will monitor the games and decide if China is suited to take part in the men's icehockey olympic tournament. Norwegian back Bonsaksen says to VG, it's not good for the sport if a team is beaten 30-0.. Tardif fear for the sports reputation if a team loses 30-0 Both VG and nytimes have articles about this. 9. Wow, Irene Schouten just skated 3:54.59 on the 3km, the 8th fastest time in history (in Heerenveen, not in SLC/Calgary) It might have been the most 'flat' 3k anyone has ever skated at this kind of level, unbelievable what a race: 30.3-30.7-30.6-30.6-30.7-30.8-30.7 makes it the first ever (!) women's 3k race with not a single 31+ lap.

  16. And Brazil also sneaked into a final with the group! I know that for the next 20 or 30 years we'll probably not even come close to get a medal at the World Championships in this sport, but I'm really excited now to see both an individual gymnast and the Brazilian group at the biggest world stage this sport has to offer, besides the Olympic Games, of course.

  17. The last time we had 37 nations was TISC Open 2019 and the team format consisted of 12 teams of 3 nations. There were 3 legs and 2 members of each team paired up in each leg to try to win as many points as possible. And there was the “Denmark bonus” as they were the hosts. Not sure how that worked again to be honest Still no clue though if the final number will be 37 this time. It depends on whether everyone submits their votes.

  18. Alright skating in the men's 500m, although that was marred by bad starts, false starts (thanks to a starter who took his sweet time), injury and more negative things. Near-insane times in the women's 1500m, unheard of even for a Dutch national championships race. This is Wüst's 18th national 1500m medal in 19 participations, by the way.

  20. Quite the race for Bergsma (against a slightly collapsing Roest), with especially a fantastic last 1500m or so (28.3 and 28.5 before the last lap).

  21. Our countries have a clear relation, nobody can say the opposite but im a little suprise to thinking in find a bit of Argentina there, more reasons to visit your country one day (my girlfriend asociate it with "war", so she doesnt want to go ) About the Kosher Mcdonalls, i see it in some travels to Buenos Aires, is in the Shopping of the neighborhood of Once. By the way, i send the votes, im conformable with the average level, despite the "joke songs" P.D: When i heard that those shows have so much popularity in Israel my reaction was WTF???, and when i heard many israelians learn spanish for that craps was the WTF of the WTF.

  23. Anett Kontaveit wins Moscow from 46 04 down so the race for the final YEC spot will extend to next week. She needs to win Cluj but even if she does, Jabeur can clinch the spot by making Courmayeur SF if I get it right.

  25. Marta Kostyuk dismantled Emma Raducanu 62 61 in Cluj QF and said she had her figured out by the fifth game already. It seems like everyone has enough tape on Raducanu by now to expose her flaws. Hey, at least she beat Hercog & Bogdan here in Cluj.

  27. Major financial troubles for the Thialf stadium, basically the home of top-level speed skating. https://www.nu.nl/schaatsen/6164249/sluiting-dreigt-voor-noodlijdend-thialf-schaatsers-vragen-kamer-om-steun.html They've already been having financial troubles for years, but the prices of gas - and so, electricity - which have absolutely skyrocketed in the past few months (it's 5+ times more expensive than half a year ago), have made it a critical situation.
