  15. So these games are finally over!! At the end we ended up having lots of live streams some not even completed @Griff88 @Olympian1010 @PHI2019 Done with the 2019 edition 2021 -? will top the medal tally I predict them already to win 20 golds in advance in the sport they dominate the world -Shuttlecock. This usually means badminton to most people but in Vietnam people play with shuttlecock like Sepaktakraw using any part of body except hands. It's like jianzi a chinese game. They'll win the singles, doubles, mixed, teams, quadrant ,freestyle single, double, team in mens and women's. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jianzi

  16. I agree this system would be much more fair than the current. What do you think about hosting rights for the two groups? I personally thinks the two nations with the lowest combined sum of their places from the WCH and continental championships should receive the rights to host one group each. (WCH + Cont. = Score) High/top places equals low score. Let's say the Netherlands and Norway end up with the two lowest combined scores. They would have the hosting rights for one group each. If the Netherlands choose to decline as host, then the nation with the second lowest combined score in the group is asked if they want to host the group. In my opinion, it could also be a good idea if the two nations with the lowest combined score could choose which team they would be in group with. If we continue with our example and say the Netherlands has the lowest combined score. The Netherlands would choose a nation first for its group. Norway would then choose a nation for its group. The Netherlands then choose the next nation and so forth until both groups are complete. This way a nation like the Netherlands, who maybe don't want to host such an event, can still benefit by choosing the nations in its group.

  17. btw, IHF needs to reform their qualification system somehow because it looks weird this way WCH 1st - direct qualification 2nd - basically direct qualification 3rd/4th - two Olympic qualification matches against European teams at HOME (playing at home is the only reason why this is better than finishing below) 5th/6th - two Olympic qualification matches against European teams 7th - basically direct qualification Obviously this wouldn't be the case if Europe wouldn't dominate the sport. Personally I think having two 6 teams tournaments would solve this quite easily. Group 1: WCh 2nd, WCh 5th, WCh 7th, Europe1, Asia2, America Group 2: WCh 3rd, WCh 4th, WCh 6th, Europe2, Asia1, Africa Equal number of European teams in each groups, looks a lot more fair than what we got now.

  18. Not yet. If Montenegro beats Sweden, Sweden will have to defeat Serbia or Germany at the 7th place match to get us that OQT spot.

  26. Earvin Ngapeth got arrested once again, and the charges are serious as he was charged with sexual harrasment. Apparently after his team won the Club World Championship in Betim, Earvin went to a restaurant with some teammates and he "slapped a waiter's butt". He claims he mistook her for a friend of his whom he met eariler in Betim and immediately apologised after he realized his mistake, but the woman did not believe him and placed charges against him.

  27. Summing up the chances of each surfer in Pipeline. Michel Bourez and Joan Duru are going to decide the last french quota. Duru needs to win the competition. There is no other way for him. If Bourez finishes on 9th or better, Duru is automatically out. Up this moment, John John Florence has the last American quota in his hands. If he finishes the event in 3rd or better, he'll get this officialy. Kelly Slater can grab this quota: if he wins the competition, and Florence finishes 5th or worse if he finishes on 2nd place, and Florence finishes 9th or worse if he finishes on 3rd place, and Florence finishes 17th or worse if he finishes 5th place, and Florence finishes on 33rd Seth Moniz also has a small chance to get it. He needs at least the third place and bad results from Kelly and Florence to have a chance to qualify. the fight fot the title will be, likely, between the Brazilians, and the Olympic quotas as well. The pontuation difference is very small, because of that only one heat can make a huge change in their positions. So, Basically: Ítalo has to finish the event on the same position, or better, than Medina or Toledo to qualify. Medina needs to finish the competition on the same position, or better, than Toledo Toledo needs to finish the competition in a better position than Ítalo and/or Medina(his first contender to the Olympic quota) There are other possibilities, but we need to wait the waves, to check it up. The most complex competition for Olympic quotas. Six surfers for two spots. Owen Wright has a good pontuation, with 5.000 points ahead of Julian Wilson, the second Australian surfer in the ranking. He's in a comfortable position for his quota. As for the other five surfers, the situation is similar to the Brazilians, one heat can change everything.
