LuizGuilherme 267 Posted June 14, 2021 #382 Share Posted June 14, 2021 The UK withdrew in the women's 4x200. Brazil goes to the Olympics as a subistitute
phelps 7,670 Posted June 14, 2021 #383 Share Posted June 14, 2021 Ariarne Titmus just swam 1.53.09 in the women's 200m Freestyle at the Australian Olympic Trials...2nd fastest time ever and best clocking ever without the rubbish...ops, I meant rubber suits used in the 2008/2009 seasons... after going close to Ledecky's record over the 400m free yesterday, today the Australian superstar got even closer to the big target in the half distance... I guess she's gonna hit the headlines more than once in Tokyo (it looks she wants to swim the 800m free, too)... In today's other races, Kaylee McKeown swam 2.08.19 (PB, but worse than predicted) in the women's 200m IM and Jack McLoughlin easily won the men's 800m Free with an impressive 7.42.51 in absence of Elija Winnington (who focused only on the 200m/400m double of the previous days) and with Mack Horton totally out of shape (he was 5th with a time above 8 mins)... Federer91 2,793 Posted June 14, 2021 #384 Share Posted June 14, 2021 Australians always do bombastic results at their trials and then more or less flop at the big event. This time at least they didn't have that moronic decision of helding the trials in March, like in previous cycles.
Quasit 865 Posted June 14, 2021 #385 Share Posted June 14, 2021 It would be nice if Australia improved on the results from the Rio games (so winning more than 3 golds, 10 total).

Katie Ledecky 2. Paige Madden I recommend watching the US Trials videos without sound, because the guy who keeps talking is really annoying. In AUS Trials Zac Stubbety-Cook swam 2.06.28 in 200 breast, just 0,16 sec off WR
