Which events beyonds europeans and americans QQT will be counted?

I'm pretty sure the answer is nothing else

I think the ranking is the combination of the latest continental championships, continental qualifiers and the last World Championship in Russia.

If they literally do what thay point out in the article (4 quota places in every weight class to the best ranked boxer per continent) half of the men weight classes will get an uneven number of particpants at the Games:

Feather: 27 instead of 28
Welter: 23 instead of 24
Heavy: 17 instead of 16
Super Heavy: 17 instead of 16

This will create extra boxing matches without recovery for a couple of boxers, something they wanted to get rid of in the first place....

I expect more resolutions like this one in other sports too. Suspect there will be an unusual number of withdrawals as well.

Probably, but in other sports these back up plans were already taken in consideration in the original qualification systems (chapter 'reallocation of quota places). For instance, the re-allocation in artistic gymnastics now the all around world cup is being canceled.

So only one place for Europe in women's and men's category?

Yes, this is why i said, that Europe is severely screwed. World OQT had 4-5 places per category at stake, out of which Europe would have probably won 75-100% in almost each one. Now they get only 25%. Ridiculous..

You're right. That's a shame.

Couldn't they host a European qualifier in May like they are for Pan America?

I mean, if they are still cancelling events in May then it is highly likely the Olympics themselves will be cancelled.

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
