I see Ledecka is doing the 2x2x400m (lol) final as well, what can't this lady do?

Wow, how can she spare the time from her summer gig as a supersonic fighter pilot?

The :FRA 1st leg going to run in pyjama

That reminds me it's time for a shower and pyjamas and a drink, the single mixed relay seems a good moment for that :d

Our TV commentators just said that if you get DSQ in tomorrow's final, you are not qualified to Tokyo here. But this is Polish TV, we need to verify it.

Then they changed the rules. In 2019 at the World Relays Italy qualified for Doha even they not finished at the world Relays. And at the world champs France not finished at the world champs but qualified for Tokyo.

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
