Football European Super League

The reactions are enjoyable. Both from non-involved clubs (like hypocritical Ajax, which first said a while ago it was in talks to be part of it and now has been condemning it) as well as from big-name players of involved clubs.

And so on.

Yeah, but it’s cup-tie football.  Anything can happen in the early rounds.

We're pretty close to the final (in the event: Jumping ship) ;)

Agnelli has said that it's not gonna happen, but somehow Juve is still in the game.

Laporta has been silent since stating that Barca's entry won't be ratified before the members vote. Real seems to be wanting to keep on, but I would guess that's it's Florentino doing whatever he can to keep it alive (even talks about that 23-year contract should stop the others from leaving)

I assume Barca will say "our members assembly would have vetoed it anyway" but secretly hoping that this might actually still happen (=€€€€€ which they badly need)
With regards to Juve and RM its probably the Pérez and Agnelli clan's hurt ego which stops them to throw the towel. (See Agnelli's whining to the media where he blames everyone for the failure but themselves)

it is like watching 10 little n...  aka  "and then there were none" from Agatha Christie, they are dropping one by one and everybody is watching and trying to find out who will be the last :p

    • @hckošice, even though Tomankova lost, she had a good fight against Costa, I think soon she and Babulfath will be the stars of -48kg.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
