Masatora Kawano who?

He is the :JPN NR holder with 3:36:something, and yes he is considered as the main favorite in Sapporo.

but again this event may end in completely different way. until the 30th-35th kilometer of the race it is impossible to even start predicting the winner

Nice to see someone in this planet predicting gold for Sagan

3 golds is unrealistic, we won 3 golds during a single olympic edition only once, in Beijing (all 3 in canoe slalom, 2 of them in some 30 minutes lol)

Looks like all these predictions we can find online are really stupid.

We have to do it by ourselves ;-)

He may be a medal contender for sure, but honestly I do not think Alex or any other european will be capable to beat the home starters Kawano & Suzuki

Apparently enough, it loves USA and hate Russia like Voldemort who can't be mentioned.:p

1 of the Indian predictions went wrong already as one of the medallist acc to them didn't make the squad. 8 shooting medals!!

Happy they didn't give medal to badminton. Not deserving.

Double gold in wrestling! In both events Japan is No 1 so did the Japanese get covid or injured this year that they gave us the gold. 3 bronze in women's boxing sounds a lot.

P. S : If no injury or covid this Saturday we could rubber stamp an Olympic Gold.

Which is why the damn World Athletics idiots should keep their dirty hands off of the majestic hours of glory that is the 50km

No Diniz and no Toth anymore nowadays? Like I said, I'm a little out of touch with athletics due to the lack of big events lately :d

But historical results mean nothing since it's the current Olympics, not the past ones :p

Which Slovaks have at least a not unrealistic chance for gold? For example Sagan so far recently wouldn't be considered much of a favourite, but he's also Sagan and one would be blind to not at least keep an eye on him :d

You know that I agree 50km + Canoe Slalom C2 & K4-1000m removal were almost a criminal act from IOC :(

oh Tóth should do well, no worries, his trainings are just unbelievable, himself saying he is feeling better than it was before the Beijing WCh..., but I do not want to say more, because you know jinx etc...  so yeah JPN boys are the top favs :d

    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
    • Learned that Tigst Assefa  in London also lowered the women-only Women's Marathon time.  (I learned they have a women-only record, and a mixed record, to avoid pacemakers...also nevermind that she was running along with other men in the men's marathon, which had started first.)
    • Anyway, a piece of history has been written today as  for the first time ever topped a preliminary round group at the U18s.  Was about time as well though      Quarterfinals schedule is also on - The Relegation direct match GER vs NOR is schedulled also on Thursday morning at 10 AM in Trenčín
