Vote D66 :p (they're our sister party, and we've spent quite a lot of time with their youth party, Jonge Democraten, in the past)

These are the latest polls (two days ago) for the Dutch elections:

468b2650c5.png

TK2012 = Number of seats for the named party at the 2012 elections

12-2 / 5-3 / 7-3 =  Number of seats in the polls of that day

'Versch' = Difference with the previous poll / difference with the 12-2 poll / difference with the 2012 elections

Two of the historically big parties are losing with especially the centre-left PvdA (Partij van de Arbeid/Labour Party) losing a shitload of seats. Since the second World War they have had less than 30 seats only three times and they have never had less than 20 seats, but are now down to a projected 9.

Whereas PvdA is centre-left, VVD (the party of our current prime-minister and together with PvdA the big winners of last time) is somewhat centre-right and they're losing a whole lot too. They are climbing back up though in recent weeks and are now, for the first time since 2015, the largest party in the polls.

PVV is Geert Wilders' right-wing party, which I'm sure doesn't need a lot of introduction. Thanks to a whole lot of stuff like terrorist attacks and the immigration debate they've had a perfect opportunity to grow a lot, more than doubling their 2012 seats, but they are losing in recent weeks.

CDA is set to be rather big again, after some meager years. This is the centre/centre-right Christian party that had our previous prime-minister. The biggest growth so far seems to be surprisingly for GroenLinks ('GreenLeft', translated literally). Officially they are centre-left and all about 'green' stuff and environmental issues and their young, charismatic leader has so far brought them way above their record of 11 seats. They somewhat talk with the wind though (I guess that's part of being an environmental party) and don't seem to be incredibly strong about their principles.

D66 is probably our most 'centre' party, with slightly left tendences in social aspects and slightly right tendencies in economical aspects and also pro-European. They've never been a huge player (although they had a huge spike of 24 seats in 1994) but are usually around, filling up the gaps in a coalition and otherwise just enjoying their role in the opposition.

SP is the most left party we have, ChristenUnie is somewhat centre (slightly more right) and as the name suggest, Christian-based, Partij voor de Dieren is the 'Party for the Animals' and almost puts animal rights above human rights, 50PLUS is the party that only thinks about older people and their leader is a way too emotional guy for rational politics.

SGP is sort of the more extreme version of ChristenUnie: the oldest political party in the Netherlands, very strictly Christian and insanely stable in the elections, always getting 2-3 votes because their 'fan base' always stays the same. People who are of their religious belief vote for them whatever they say so they don't lose those voters, and people who aren't of their belief won't vote for them so they don't win voters. Interestingly they're also not very active in the campaigns because they know they'll get their 2-3 seats. Good thing about them: they don't care what others want from them, they always stick to their principles which I think is admirable even if you don't agree with them at all. Side note: they're usually the biggest party in my little Bible Belt hometown, hurray.

DENK is a party founded last year (or the year before) by two Turkish-Dutch politicians who went out from their Dutch party and now have some sort of a "Erdogan is a hero"-kind of freak club there. Loved by a small part, hated by most.

As for myself, there's a few parties I'm definitely not voting for:

- PVV (because Wilders)

- DENK (because Erdogan)

- SGP (because religion should be separate from the state)

- SP (way, way too left)

- GroenLinks (don't like their leader)

- 50PLUS (don't like their leader)

I'm mostly doubting between VVD and D66, staying somewhere in the centre :)

I saw one poll done a few days ago where both PVV and D66 had 20% , is it possible for Wilders' party to finish only 3rd?

I guess it's possible, but it's more likely to be between VVD and PVV for the win.

If Wilders will win it will be a suicide for Netherlands... but how is possible?

In Italy we have Salvini but in South Italy we don't like him, saturday he will go in Naples but here they start the demostrations against him 2 days ago.. :p

Well, German politician Donald von Tuskenberg has won the election for Council of Europe's leadership, but that was to be expected as the election was rigged after Angela Merkel has used her brainwashing Soros powers to posses Viktor Orban and used threats against other leaders to support Tusk in this Russia-backed election which will sadly destroy the EU after some countries clearly are not capable of solidarity.

That's not me, that is just a quick summary of today's news report on TVPis.

It won't be suicide for the Netherlands if Wilders wins, because he still needs to form a coalition and cooperate with other parties (unless the PVV get a majority of 76 seats on their own but that's extremely unlikely and as good as impossible). There's always compromises that will have to be made, no party will have all the power.

Anyone here who watches Comedians in Cars getting coffee? Great show with Jerry Seinfeld as host who talks to other celebrities (mostly comedians, but someone like Obama also has been a guest) about whatever comes to their minds.

One of my favorite Conan O'Brien videos:

One of my favorite Stephen Colbert videos (the great part starts around 5:32 and ends at 8:22):

A new kind of superhero? I think i havent laughed that hard very often in my life.
