Let's see if the new deal between the EU and Turkey will finally bring some order. I'm not very confident and expect Turkey to continue to blackmail the EU without taking any significant measures like with the first 3 billion payment. The whole Balkan road should have been stopped a year ago...

After one year and $17.6 million spent, New Zealanders have decided to keep their current flag :NZL

Preliminary results are around 56% for the old one...

Sad see again the union jack on the flag :(

Really? :woot: We know the new flag?

Not yet, but you can see the candidates here http://portlandflag.org/2015/06/09/23-finalists-for-new-fiji-flag/

All of them are much better than the current one.

    • 12/18  judokas went on the podium, which is impressive...  But it’s really a shame, only two gold medals. Disappointing, just like at the Olympic Games (two titles, including the team event) and at the last World Championships (one title, and Gaba didn’t even win a medal at these European Championships).
    • A great weekend in the Hong Kong velodrome and will definitely be back for next year's event which will count towards Olympic qualification. The crashes are spectacular - the noise reverberates across the track - and the crowd can get so close to the action.    If this weekend's results are anything to go by, the traditional cycling nations wont have it their own way going into LA. Was impressed by a couple of the  riders across both their sprint and endurance teams whilst the  women's sprinters could be ones to watch.    Overall, it was a successful weekend for both the  and  teams - the Dutch Men's Madison team were outstanding, whilst Matthew Richardson and Emma Finucane have amazing turn of speed.    Couple of (poor quality) pics of the  v  grudge match in the men's sprint semifinals:     and the kerin:
    • Women's 19-14 win over  was their first win of the season. They went over 30 matches without a win !! Mind you, to be fair, they only just managed to sneak out the win and were helped by the fact that South Africa had a player sent off.   The Hong Kong Sevens weekend is always mad and you can rely on seeing some weird and wonderful sights as you travel on the MTR. Highlights this year included a couple of life sized Labubus - they must have been sweating up a storm in those things.

    • I know that, but I just wanted to show the pathology of Orban's power system that he did something like that for a public money.
    • Bellandi now has the Big Grand Slam in judo:     - Olympic gold (2024), - World Championship gold (2025), - European Championship gold (2026).     She is also the world leader in her weight class, of course.
    • Scutto's crisis is especially worry– 4 consecutive losses in first rounds this year are difficult to understand, especially considering she's our World Championship gold medalist last years and our main medal olympiscs hope with Bellandi in women.   The men's team is celary weaker without Lombardo and Parlati, so it was difficult to expect success here– fortunately, Pirelli had a his day of life today
