 Sasa Zivoulovic (handball) died yesterday at age 50 in Athens. He competed on the Greek team at Athens 2004 which got 6th place.

 

In case you were wondering about his name, he was born in Serbia but lived in Greece for many years and still did until his death and was involved in Greek handball. He coached the women's team of Nea Ionia, and just on Sunday they won the Greek Cup and now a few days later he is dead...

I will mention Him here because many say that when he immigrated to Palestine in 1947, he became a promising athlete (in the sport of athletics).

 

One of my favourite politicians ever.

The body of footballer Christian Atsu of Hatayspor (former Newcastle United, among others) has been recovered from rubble in Turkey. In the past almost two weeks, he was reported missing, reported rescued, reported still missing and so on, but now he has sadly been confirmed dead.

Greg Foster, one of those great 110m hurdlers who never quite got that big Olympic Gold - silver at LA84, but missed out at the US trials a few times.  3 times World Champion, though.
