The Games will go on.  Somehow, some way.  They're too big and there are too many interests (both financial and political) to let them fail.  It will undoubtedly look different than any other Olympics and likely won't be as festive as they normally would be.  But I believe everyone involved will figure out a way to make it work, even if that's a somewhat reckless decision from the standpoint of a once in a century global pandemic.

How can you have a trend based on one event however stupid? GB actually have a good record of turning up for events even in the face of terrorism. Australia not so much.

    • I know these rules apply in some championships. I'm just not sure if they apply in all.
    • I'm not familiar with the minimum participation rules and medal allocation procedures set by ODEBO. Maybe @Fer GUA can give a better answer.   I do know that minimum participation rules can affect viability of events and/or medal allocations at the Commonwealth Games, Central American and Caribbean Games and Mediterranean Games.
    • Am I right that, if there's less than 3 competitors, only the winner gets a medal?
