the German Cycling Federation confirmed on their website that she's severly injured at the spinal...

by the way, it's not the first time she has such a devastating injury...some years ago, she was hit by a car and suffered broken vertebra on her neck...

let's hope that also this time she can recover as well as she did years ago...:fingers:

Martin Toft Madsen is next in line to go for the hour record. He set a new Danish record in january at 52,324km but has been working towards the world record. He states that just his improvements in the aerodynamics are enough for about a km. Other than that he should be in better shape than in january as well as riding in thinner air on a fast track in Mexico.

I must say that I doubt that he'll make it, but he may very well end up as no. 2 on the rankings and could end up withing a km of Wiggins.

You can follow the last days up to the attempt, including a lot of work, cleaning the velodrome that is quite dusty at the moment on his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Tofthour/

Later the same day he did 3.10.4 in the final.
