The BBC didn’t imply anything during the 2012 Olympics so they should be quiet here IMO

The Japanese was better though (in the 1st round clearly and in the 3rd round as well, albeit a little less clearly).

Interestingly the BBC radio commentators thought it was a very close fight, that maybe the Brit won the 3rd round but didn't complain about the verdict
