Aaaaand it's cancelled. Too bad, last night we drove through St Moritz and there was not a snowflake falling down..

:(

That´s really sad. I wanted to see how Petra can do in Super-G. It was the only chance for her to participate in a Alpine Combined serious level event before the Olympics :(

By (probably) winning the super-G in Gröden, Josef Ferstl did something of almost historic importance for german alpine skiing:

- It is the first german podium in men's super-G in almost 7 years (Stephan Keppler was 2nd in Gröden on December 17th 2011)

- It is the first german victory in men's super-G or downhill in almost 13 years (Max Rauffer won the downhill in Gröden on December 18th 2004)

As you see, Gröden is always a good place for german alpine skiing ...

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

I hate this kind of bullcrap, a race being completed when not even a half of the starters have actually started like today in Val Gardena.

Good for Ferstl though :)

Indeed, it's an automatic assumption that the rest would do nothing. How unfair is that.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
