Pretty much. Since they are so close in goal differential it becomes who can win by more. Egypt gets the slight advantage since their match starts 45 minutes later so they will know how much they need to win by.

 

In the event of a double loss, both nations would need to lose by a lot to not finish top of group assuming China beats Philippines and Mexico beats Jordan to create a three-way tie.

 

I guess Angola still has a small chance, beat South Sudan by 14+ and then hope for New Zealand > Egypt and Jordan > Mexico (or Egypt lose by 19+). Cabo Verde and Cote d'Ivoire would need some crazy results to go their way.

Amazing (comeback) win for Italy once again! Don't see them winning a medal, but with Banchero it might have been possible. I think Italy might have some down years in the near future, but in the long run they should be very good again (given their results at junior level).

Right now i would favor Spain and Canada to make the semifinal from that half. Germany, Spain, Canada and Australia might all be better than the 2nd best team (probably Serbia) in the other half. Germany vs. Spain might turn into the decider for the 2nd olympic spot. Sadly Germany has a very poor track record against Spain and avoiding them would mean Canada as an opponent (which isn't a better option).

After the surprising loss of Spain it could be Latvia as well in the quarterfinals.
