We lost at home to Luxembourg :d

But you know everything goes according to plan...we won against Kosovo apparently a couple of days ago so perhaps the mega goal of winning a international game time by time is done...

I'm just wondering how long they'll last with that decades of neverending patience and neverending fund of this nonsense. year after year, millions are absorbed in a sport that does not interest anyone in the country and that could have gone into other more promising sports.

You learn something every day...

for example today I learned Slovakia (yes we do have a male NT) had to beat Northern Macedonia by exactly 16 points, which was precisely the only result that would qualify both teams (SVK and MKD) instead of Switzerland... I am pretty sure SVK never won against Macedonia as far as i know in the past, almost sure never lost to them by less than 10 points...

however yesterday Slovakia by a "shocking" buzzer won by exactly 16 points.

No one in this planet will convince me this suspicious outcome (to say the least) does not smells fishy at all....

Feel sorry for :SUI though..

FIBA Basketball 2023 World Cup Americas Qualifiers

241016587_2805357173089679_5145565721012

In the first round, the 16 teams are divided into four groups and each team will play against each other in their own group. The top three teams from each group will qualify for the second round of qualifiers.

In the second round, the 12 teams that qualified will be divided into two groups of six (E and F). Each team will play against the three new teams in its own group.

  • Group E: 1A, 2A, 3A, 1C, 2C, 3C
  • Group F: 1B, 2B, 3B, 1D, 2D, 3D

Then the three best teams from each group, and the fourth-placed team will qualify to the FIBA Basketball 2023 World Cup which will take place from August 25 to September 10.

In this way, 30 teams will secure their ticket to the FIBA Basketball 2023 World Cup, where they will join the hosts Japan and the Philippines, qualifying directly. Indonesia will seek its pass through the FIBA Asia Cup 2021, which was rescheduled for 2022, where it will need to finish in the top eight teams.

You sure ? I can't see anything about that on FIBA website and I just heard that we will play Bahrain in 2 weeks.

apparently they postponed games of one group in Asia. not all the games.

    • HOW EVENTS CAN BE ADDED TO THE BRISBANE 2032 OLYMPIC GAMES   INITIAL SPORTS PROGRAMME   The initial sports programme, which includes all sports for a specific edition of the Olympic Games, is determined by the IOC Session from among the sports governed by the International Federations (IFs) recognised by the IOC.   Only sports which comply with the Olympic Charter, the World Anti-Doping Code and the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competition are eligible to be in the programme.   ORGANISING COMMITTEE PROPOSE ADDITIONAL SPORTS   With the implementation of Olympic Agenda 2020, the process of establishing the Olympic programme changed to boost the popularity of the Olympic Games while ensuring that the numbers of athletes, and the cost and complexity of the Games remained manageable.   So this new process came into effect from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games onwards. International Sport Federations make their case to the Brisbane Organising Committee for their sport’s inclusion at the 2032 Olympic Games The Brisbane Organising Committee then considers all the proposals, consults with stakeholders and decides which additional events they wish to formally propose to the IOC Programme Commission be added to the 2032 Olympic Games The IOC Programme Commission then considers this proposal and makes recommendations to the IOC Executive Board As the event programme must be finalised no later than three years prior to the Brisbane 2032 Opening Ceremony, approval of any additional events must then be made by the IOC Executive Board by Monday, 23 July 2029.   IOC RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL SPORT FEDERATIONS   So, for an additional event to be approved by the IOC Executive Board to be added to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, the International Sport Federation which runs that event must be recognised by the IOC.   As at today, the IOC Recognised international sport federations are:   FAI World Air Sports Federation BWF Badminton World Federation WCBS World Confederation of Billiards Sports WBF World Bridge Federation FIDE World Chess Federation WDSF World Dance Sport Federarion WFDF World Flying Disc Federation IWF Federation Internationale D’Halterphilie FIA International Automobile Federation FIFA Federation De Internationale Football Association FIVP International Federation of Pelota Vasca FIBA International Basketball Federation FIB Federation of International Bandy FIP Federation of International Polo IBF International Bowling Federation **ICC International Cricket Council ICF International Canoe Federation ICU International Cheer Union FEI International Equestrian Federation **IFAF International Federation of American Football IFSC International Federation of Sport Climbing IFF International Fencing Federation iFF International Floorball Federation IKF International Korfball Federation ILS International Life Saving Federation IFMA International Federation of Muaythai Associations IGF International Golf Federation FIG International Gymnastics Federation IHF International Handball Federation FIH International Hockey Federation IJF International Judo Federation WKF World Karate Federation WAKO World Association of Kickboxing Organisations UIPM International Modern Pentathlon Union FIM International Motorcycling Federation IOF International Orienteering Federation UIM International Powerboating Federation IRF International Raquetball Federation FIAS International _Sambo Federation ISSF International Shooting Sport Federation ISF International Sumo Federation ISASURF International Surfing Association ITTF International Table Tennis Federation ITF International Tennis Federation TWIF Tug of War International Federation FIVB International Volleyball Federation IWWF International Wakeboard and Waterski Federation IWUF International Wushu Federation UCI Union Cycliste Internationale UIAA International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation UWW United World Wrestling WORLD AQUATICS World Aquatics WORLD ARCHERY World Archery Federation WORLD ATHLETICS World Athletics **WBSC World Baseball Softball Confederation **WORLD LACROSSE World Lacrosse WORLD NETBALL World Netball WPBF World Pentanque and Bowls Federation WORLD ROWING World Rowing WORLD RUGBY World Rugby WORLD SAILING World Sailing WORLD SKATE World Skate **WORLD SQUASH World Squash WORLD TAEKWONDO World Taekwondo WORLD TRIATHLON World Triathlon CMAS World Underwater Federation   ** recognised by the IOC as part of the proposal by the Los Angeles Organising Committee to add additional events to the 2028 Olympic Games
