Hello and welcome to another day of action at the Totallympics International Song Contest - Special Event 2020.

We have action across 3 groups today (Groups A, B and C) and a total of 6 matches to be played.

 

We begin in Group A and the first match-up of the day sees Jamaica take on Guinea.

Jamaica scored a 7-1 victory over Japan on Day 1, the only match they have played so far.

Guinea also had a 7-1 victory over Japan but also have one defeat on their record from their opening night defeat to Gibraltar.

 

Victory for either team would see them move to the top of Group A, boosting hopes for automatic qualification for the Round of 16.

 

 

A total of 8 match judges have been assigned the task of adjudicating this match.

The judges are each allocated a specialised hut which are located at various vantage points surrounding the arena where the artists will perform.

These judging huts can be seen in the diagram below with their locations denoted by letters (K, E, H, C, M, B, F and A).

It's time for the hosts to return to the stage as they face Belarus in a crucial Group A encounter. Japan have had a tough start to the contest, suffering 2 defeats from 2 and another defeat today would send the hosts to an early exit.

Belarus are also in desperate need of a positive result having lost their only match of the campaign so far. The stakes are high for this clash of Belarus v Japan.

Unfortunately the hosts Japan will be heading out of the main competition after the group stages but will enter into the consolation competition - The Challenge Trophy.
