There is no battle,G/P already won the bronze. Ice dance is a circus

They've been getting screwed over with their scores all season long, especially Finlandia Trophy. I'm not so sure :mumble:

I wouldn't put it past the judges to give them a 122 even if they had a near flawless performance :coffee:

Figure skating judging is a joke sometimes

One thing I found curious was that the French duo was much earlier in the start list, instead of being with all the other top teams. (Does anyone know why?)

I wonder simply if being separated in the order affected the overall ranking. Tomorrow, the judges will be able to see more clearly the difference between them and C/B.

Last year they hardly competed, so they had very few points.

Looking at those scores, I don't what's more laughable

The British judge ranking GBR 7 points ahead of Canada and higher than France (and USA 5 points ahead of France) probably has to take the golden palm.

Something that is much better in freestyle skiing and snowboarding park and pipe events - the judges aren’t picked by their national federation so they don’t have to play favourite.

Now don’t get me wrong, the judging in those events is far from perfect, the judges absolutely have their biases and they make mistakes, but despite being almost entirely "vibes based" judging in those sports still manages to feel more impartial than the segment scores in figure skating.

Edit: another good thing about the judging of those events is that the judges are in constant communication with the athletes, coaches (and even the more plugged-in TV commentators) so everyone can understand the criteria they are being judged on.
