Non existent, as all the sports hype is with the football team at the Copa America. But after it finishes and the Olympics approach it will probably pick up, especially with the team sports with good chances for medals and football in there, which will get some extra attention. Not as big as local football, but still.

The general public won't be interested in too many sport events at once...there's still the Euros and Wimbledon (tennis was already quite big but its coverage skyrocketed in the last year for obvious reasons) going on, we'll see starting from next week.

Not many people in The Netherlands care about the Olympics anyway. Especially not when the Tour de France and the European Football Championships are still pending. But as soon as we win the first medal, people will become more interested hopefully.

After Euro and Copa America ended, the hype should be higher.

Moreover, most of the potential medal events are scheduled in prime time here so maybe people will go crazy once we get a medal

We have to wake up until 4 AM to see all medal events and there are no football or baseball(actually not held after this olympic) team in Paris, which is the most popular team sports here in Korea, so the interest is lower than before.

Hope we could get medal early, to get interest

Hype here big here in Australia mainly due rivalry with USA in swimming. Also no Australian in Wimbledon and not in euro or copa America.

One of biggest sporting events in Australia state of origin will conclude next Wednesday.

What do you think about the reason for the same?

because here in Italy there's always no interest for any sport but national football + ferrari

only when things actually happen, then a lot of people who normally don't even know that some sports exist, they start celebrating the most amazing success (like Jacobs' gold in 2021) or, most likely (it's the true National discipline), to hate those who didn't perform as expected

you can see all this shit already this week with Sinner at Wimbledon

sports culture here is dead, given it's been alive in an unknown previous age :bones:

Nothing super extra can be felt yet, the very bad qualifications which ended several famous and popular athletes in the country missing the games (especially the likes of Volko or canoe sprint K4 squad) have a huge impact on the small interest for now... people intead already discussing and focusing on september´s Milano/Cortina Ice Hockey qualifier.

But, I guess, the hype will slowly increase the games will be closer, because for now I feel like I am the only one person in the country aside of the NOC staff who is fully on Paris mode :p
