For European championships I think it's fine, since otherwise one would simply have way fewer of the top athletes competing.

Our commentator received info they are reviewing the photofinish of the 3rd semifinal ... do not know what they are watching and looking on it for 30 minutes now

Maybe someone impeded someone out of their lane or someone did not get both legs over a hurdle.  Those would be the usual things.

I absolutely have no idea. Maybe Poland protest to look the finsih time of Viki Forster ? She advanced as last LL over the Pole by 0.01 so maybe this ? It is now a half hour so I really do not see what can take it so long in watching a photo finish
