It would have been a complete waste, if she didn't manage to qualify. All and all a good day, after also the rowing quota earlier. Since France is not using any of its 8 host quotas, they are first awarded to tripartite nations. If they are not allocated, then they are awarded to the next highest ranked eligible athlete across all events.
