That is real ROFL )))))

Russia has a "Friendship cup" in Perm these days.

They announced 4 team: 3 national teams - russia, Venezuela, Colombia and "Parma" (local basketball club).

Propaganda described it as an international tournament to show that russian sport is not totally blocked.

Kirilenko was happy to see national teeams from South America.

And...

"Parma" won the first quarter against Colombia  - 41:2

Total score - 155:53.

And... Colombian basketball federation stated that they did not send national team there )))

Furthermore - they even  did not receive invitation ))))

P.S. It looks like none of that players played for Colombia ever ))

Something you do not see often :GEO Kutaisi intentionally tried to not win a match twice in regular time and 2 following extra times and in all 3 times failed

They were supposed to win by 7 points at least to keep their chance to qualify in Eurocup competition alive, so when they could win by 2 they decided to not :p

That was hilarious I recommend to watch both the ends of 4 quarter and both Extra times :d

Malevy Leons has made his NBA debut for OKC last night, first time in 13 years there's a Dutch player making time in the NBA :d

Interesting thing is that he's not even the only one, there's not one, but two more Dutch players with an NBA contract this season (but no minutes yet): Jesse Edwards for the Timberwolves and Quinten Post for the Warriors, both will be likely to play in the G League first.

Why is the NBA so boring?  Stunning graphical proof here.

Top half: scoring locations in 2000.

Bottom half: same in 2023

    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
