I may be very wrong but I don’t see Israel sweeping the public vote. I think Croatia will win the public vote by a mile.

If the Italian leaked votes are true, Israel is winning the televote. In this age of the Eurovision the televote is very similar in most countries, so if Israel got 40% of the votes in Italy of all places in the semi, we should expect a lot of votes going their way today. Not even Ukraine got that many votes from Italy two years ago in the semi.

I would be skeptical about how real those votes were and also I can’t see every country replicating 40% for Israel in televoting. I could be very wrong but my gut says Croatia will win the televote.

Honestly very difficult situation.
if Israel wins then everybody will talk about manipulation , true or not doesn’t matter. Clearly the next esc would be very problematic as no host (maybe Germany would take over for Israel) and many countries will withdraw.

on the other hand not even sure I want Croatia to win. The song is ok, but nothing special, we probably can’t afford it and I could imagine the production would be embarrassing. Therefore let’s agree on Switzerland, Italy or France.

I hope so :d

Been my big favourite from the first time I heard it :cheer:

Especially if, outside of Israel getting the free war votes, the biggest challengers are Switzerland and France, which I found soooo....meh.

and how come it’s Israel’s Fault? He is a 26 years old man he is not a child, if he did something that considered a crime in Sweden it’s completely his fault, add that it was against a member of the production, (and that there are more performers and delegation members that express their opinion on Israel)  its has nothing to do with Israel. Guess when you are having a bad day it’s also our fault?

For me the so called hardcore Eurovision fans in the arena and on social media have ruined Eurovision this year and made it political. I reckon if it was Palestine participating this year and not Israel, we would not be having this much outrage. As for the Israeli delegation harassing journalists and artist of other countries for saying free Palestine and stuff like, both sides should've been banned from this year for making it political instead of uniting people with music no matter their nationality and political beliefs.

People in and around the Israeli delegation seem to have very much been on their worst behaviour, provoking left and right, saying this and that person shouldn't be allowed to breath, and so on. But this thing with Netherlands being DQ'ed doesn't seem to have anything to do with them, so Israel's misbehaviour (on several occassions) is a separate issue. Making Eurovision 2024 even more of a shitshow :p

    • I will try for Croatia:    Archery (1) : we never had a representative, but were two times very close. I think we have a chance in Recurve for a single male quota, and in mixed compound,  Realistic one quota    Athletics (8) : difficult as many things will change in the next 2-3 seasons, but let's. say 8, I think that could be a realistic number   Badminton (1) : hopefully our Indonesian import will manage to qualify     Basketball (0): small chances in both male and 3x3 male teams , but somehow I doubt it    Boxing (2): two male quotas    Canoe slalom (1). maybe with a small chance for two places, but one is realistic    Canoe sprint (1): similar to slalom, maybe two, but one is realistic, but lets see how the new qualification system plays out    Cycling (2): would bee very happy with a quota in BMX freestyle and male road race    Diving (1): hoping that Matej Nevescanin will qualify    Fencing (0): very small chance in mens foil, but I guess will not happen.    football (0): there is always talks about our male team, but never succeeded, I am afraid will be the same for LA 2028    Artistic gymnastics (4): Kovtun plus two additional male quotes plus one female   Handball (14): the mens team should qualify    Judo (5): four female quota plus one male    Rowing (5). difficult to say as boats/crews are not defined yet. But I expect 4 mens places plus 1 female. Maybe more, but let see    Sailing (6): somehow not a good development in this sports, could be even less than 6 quotas.    Shooting (5): hopefully two trap and two male rifle quotas plus one surprise    Swimming (6): will be brave here and say 5 male plus one female. I think we have a realistic chance to qualify a freestyle relay.    Table tennis (5): hope for 3 male and two female quotas incl. mixed doubles (Arapovic/Ban)   Tennis (6): still too early, and always the question who is really interested in playing.   Taekwondo (3): I am seeing two females plus one male qualifying   Waterpolo (11): mens team should be safe, small chance for our women's team.   Wrestling (1) considering the Russian expansion, one quota would be great     in all other sports hopeless case for Croatia. But 88 would be a great delegation, probably too optimistic
