Shooting Qualification for Summer Olympic Games 2016

Looking at 2012 there were 40 spots given either as tripartite or reallocation so most nations in that list will qualify. Also just because the nation is eligible for a tripartite spot doesn't mean they applied for one in shooting. In 2012 only 9 nations got a tripartite spot (other tripartite nations qualified through reallocation)

You can scratch the Netherlands for that, as our shooter didn't qualify anyway and won't do so with some "reserve way" :p

When was the last time the Netherlands did not compete in shooting at the Olympics?

For sure will be more. From Russia and Korea I think.

Yes. South Korea's Jin Jong-oh becomes a double starter in the men's 10 m air pistol; thus, the unused berth might be subjected to the reallocation, unless the NOC expects an exchange for one of the shotgun events.

Russia assures a double starter in one of the men's rifle events.

They did in 2012. Or does this have to do with the current state of their sporting federations?

Yeah, if they start not to accept wild cards then they are going to miss Olympics altogether.

Marián Kovačócy finished 5th today in mens trap, so it´s official he will compete in Rio, instead of Zuzana Štefečeková (pregnant) ISSF already accepted our request for exchanging the quota of womens trap for mens trap. so we will have 2 athletes in mens trap.

Maybe we will receive a tripartite invitation here :d

Ireland isn't a tripartite nation, but it could potentially get a reallocation spot. Based on 2012 reallocations Ireland would have a borderline to okay shot.
