And seing the state of Rio venues just 6 months after Olympics... Let's just say that countries of similar level (e. g. South Afica) could get disheartened.

Olympic bidders nowadays are around this type:

• Developed countries which whine about the cost
• Political agenda seasoned bids which originate from countries with unstable politics
• Extremely "rich" countries or a country that really want to host so bad in order to show their "development"
• "Mediocre" countries which want to host but unable to guarantee how will they deliver the games and what will happen after the Games

It is really saddening to see the Olympic bids had gone to state like this.... Are there any countries which want to bid solely for the spirit of sports? (none ofc )

do you know this smartphone application called "charlie charlie challenge" it's a Ouija game , seems you can communicate with a ghost

pupils used it  at school just to  know the subjects of exams but many real dangerous incidents happened as faints,Gas explosion ,things moved.....etc

 

it was a polimic here , Which prompted the Ministry of Education to prohibit this application ......but how will they proceed !!

There are without doubt both pros and cons about this potential decision.

 

Pros: 
Time to reconsider the bidding structure (sure, we still have winter Olympics, but it's still one less)

Time for potential bidders to actually be sure they want to bid. We have had more than enough bidders withdrawing after at some level announcing a bid.

Two strong bidding countries who may not bid for the Olympics 2028 if losing, will get it.
Not risking another bid round ending up with only 2 bidders. That really doesn't help the image of the Games and even more the perception from the public (though of course the costs in general means more than that)

 

Cons:

Risk of 2028 hosts withdrawing (that is without doubt easier when the Olympics are a little less than 11 years in the future)(I doubt that USA would withdraw, but I'm not quite as sure about France given the sometimes worrying situation)

Potentially missing interesting bids for 2028 (of which you have mentioned some fine ones)
Is it fair towards potential bidders for 2028?

What will future bidders ending up as second think?

 

I'm sure there are more, but those were the ones I could think of right now.

Vladimir Petrov has passed away in the morning at hospital. died of cancer. He had 69 RIP

 

2 times olympic champion + 1 silver in 1980, and 9 times world champion. IIHF hale of fame member, 11 times ex-USSR champion with CSKA Moscow, 3 times best scorer and MVP of the former soviet league.
