Daily update:

  • Active cases 46638 (+3957)
  • Death 5376 (+651)
  • Recovered 7024 (+952)
  • Total cases 59138 (+5560)

Very good numbers today :)

Yes seems a decent drop in new cases...... Very positive if there is a downward trend for the next 3-4 days.........

But scary when we see 650 deaths and see that as good.....

This is really scary that we have to consider 651 deaths as good. but hopefully the number continues to drop, to zero eventually :pope:

Just because the daily testing capacity rises I guess

It's likely to be a combination of increased testing and increased spread of the virus within the community.

+ 64 new cases in Poland, bringing the total to 627 and placing us in the Top 30 most infected countries.

Definitely not. Anyway I hope total lockdowns stay far away from here, it's really the last thing we need to try and fight this. I don't think we've seen total lockdowns anywhere yet btw, or maybe Wuhan? I missed whether or not literally everything (including supermarkets) is closed in Lombard.,

India has gone to massive lockdown today. And it is getting massive support from public. Why? Because seeing Italian numbers scare us.

If we consider that Italy has reached the peak of its bell curve, we are looking at 10,000+ deaths in a country of 6 crores. We have a population of 133 crores. If Covid-19 follows similar trajectory we are looking at 200,000+ deaths. Even half fatality rate would mean 100,000+ deaths. We have younger demographics compared to Italy but significant population has diabetes, heart conditions, malnourishment, asthma and other ailments.

7 is the number of the day, Sunday is the day 7, 7 new cases and 7 recovered patients (including the so-called Patient 0) However today was one of the lowest testing day, we tested mainly the repatriated Slovak citizens from abroad. 7 of them with positive tests.

So 185 Confirmed Cases in Slovakia (+7 Today)

(177 Current cases, 7 Recovered, 1 Patient with covid-19 died 18th March but the autopsy confirmed the dead was not caused by the coronavirus)
