I know his qualities. He is good player.

My issue is BBC mentioning his religion. Why is that important? Same would go with any other religion, sexuality or whatever.

And yeah, it is agenda, like everything BBC does.

I feel like the very, very recent history in your neck of the woods should provide ample answers to your question.

I'm not surprised about Bolivia's win over Brazil. Brazil hates playing in Bolivia (Moreso than the other South American nations) and with nothing to play for it was expected they wouldn't play at 100%.

I think the other confederations are happy with the result

Well, they are not permitted by the rules, but Bolivia enjoys an exemption.

The ban is set at 3.000 meters so technically they could play in Sucre at 2.800+? But is there any FIFA-approved stadium there? I suspect Peru doesn't play at the stadium that is located even higher than La Paz?

the ban was set in 2007, but after all the South American Nations (except Brazil, who raised the controversy) protested and declared the ban discriminatory, it was lifted in 2008

therefore, no, technically there's no ban against football matches played at any altitude

Peru always play in Lima (150m above sea level), but South American cups are regularly played also in Cuzco (3400m), which is close but not higher than La Paz (3600m)

however, in Bolivia it might happen to play in places higher than La Paz, like Potosì (3900m) or in places with tropical climate (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, "only" 400m above sea level)

p.s. Santa Cruz is scheduled to host the 2025 Copa Sudamericana Final in November

Wasn't it schedulled in Khartum originally ?

Anyway I do believe Algeria will win this easily and finally return to the WC, but with Petkovic trolling still around who knows
